Management of the Heavy Brows: Long-Term Surgical Options
The objective of this study is to describe a technique for endoscopic brow lifting, consisting on minimal incisions, a biplanar dissection, and a different fixation technique designed for helping reshape the brow. This particular surgical technique has shown the advantage of being minimally invasive and effective. Careful analysis of the patient should be made to decide both the technique and the changes desired by the patient and the surgeon. The authors believe the technique described is another option for approaching and fixating the heavy eyebrows in mestizo patients. [...] Thieme Medical Publishers 333 Seventh Avenue,...

The Brow Fat Pad Suspension Suture: Safety Profile and Clinical Observations
Conclusions: This initial large series description of the brow fat pad suspension suture demonstrates that it is a safe adjunct to upper blepharoplasty, which the authors believe subjectively improves overall outcome. Evidence-based quantitative assessments of objective measures of surgical results are currently underway. (Source: Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery)

What Neurotoxins Have Taught Us About the Brow: The Reintroduction and Review of the Transpalpebral Browpexy
ConclusionTranspalpebral browpexy is a reliable, minimally invasive surgical procedure that effectively emulates the results of neuromodulator injections for a much longer period of time. While it cannot replace traditional brow-lifting techniques, transpalpebral browpexy does have solid indications with proven long-lasting results, which can be effective in a significant portion of patients with brow ptosis.Level of Evidence IVThis journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article. An Effective Technique for Nasal Radix Reduction in Septorhinoplasty: Procerus Muscle Resection
Abstract: In rhinoplasty patients radix position profoundly impacts the appearance of the nasal profile by influencing dorsal length, contour, angulation, and height. The authors wanted to introduce a new perspective to radix, and decided to focus on subcutaneous tissues, especially procerus muscle. Actually resection of procerus and corrugator supercilii is a part of browlift and endoscopic facelift techniques, with which the authors are already familiar. In this short report and video, the authors wanted to present a new technique to lower radix area. This technique is based on face anatomy, and muscles under radix area...

Quantitative Analysis of Face and Neck Skin Tightening by Microfocused Ultrasound With Visualization in Asians
CONCLUSION: This study showed that the most prominent change after the 800-line MFU-V treatments in Asians was the significant submental lift at 90 days. Other noninvasive or minimally invasive treatment modalities can be considered to combine with MFU-V for the optimal treatment response. Additional MFU-V treatments can be considered 3 months after the first treatment. (Source: Dermatologic Surgery)

[Forehead rejuvenation].
Abstract The goal of this article is to provide a systemic approach to forehead rejuvenation. Fillers, botulinic toxin injections, transpalpebral, endoscopic or bicoronal brow lift must be usual techniques for every plastic surgeon in overall facial rejuvenation. Achieving a long lasting and aesthetically pleasing forehead is possible only with surgical techniques when aging is obvious.
