Characteristics and Performance of Unilateral Kidney Transplants from Deceased Donors.
CONCLUSIONS: A large number of discarded kidneys were procured from donors whose contralateral kidneys were transplanted with good post-transplant outcomes.

Abstract
Sickle cell disease is now a chronic adult illness characterized by progressive multiorgan failure, particularly involving the brain and kidney. The etiology is multifactorial; it includes hemolysis and nitric oxide deficiency. As patients age, most experience neurologic insult. Twenty-five percent of older adults have had a clinical stroke and at least half of the population have had a silent infarct, cortical atrophy, and neurocognitive impairment. Hospitalizations for cardiovascular disease after liver transplantation in the United States
Conclusions: CVD after liver transplant is evolving and responsible for growing rates of inpatient care. Transplant hospitals are associated with poor outcomes, even after risk adjustment for patient and hospital characteristics, which may be attributable to selective referral of certain patient phenotypes, but could also be related to differences in quality of care. Invasive Hemodynamics and Rejection Rates in Patients with Cardiac Sarcoidosis After Heart Transplantation
Conclusions CS patients have similar post-transplant hemodynamics as non-CS patients, without evidence of RV dysfunction or pulmonary hypertension. No significant rejection nor recurrence of sarcoid in the allograft were observed in this cohort of patients with CS. Survival is similar between CS and non-CS patients. Heart transplant is a viable strategy in selected CS patients with excellent outcomes. Clinical and hemodynamic correlates of pulmonary arterial stiffness in incident, untreated patients with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension.
CONCLUSIONS: In incident idiopathic PAH, PA stiffness was related to mPAP and heart rate, and this outperformed the potential influences of age and gender. Baseline PA stiffness did not independently predict outcome. The great dispersion of RC-time implied that PVR and PA stiffness were differently affected by the disease process.

Clinical profile and outcome of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome in hemodialysis patients
The objective of this study is to characterize the factors predisposing to the development of PRES in patients on MHD. We performed a retrospective analysis in patients of MHD who were diagnosed with PRES between August 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015. Those with a history of cerebrovascular accidents/stroke, and epilepsy were excluded. We analyzed the clinical details, course, and laboratory data. Cardiovascular disease after childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia: a cohort study.
