Effects of individualized lower limb isokinetic strengthening in clinical rehabilitation of older post-stroke patients: A retrospective study
CONCLUSION: This retrospective clinical study suggests that lower limb isokinetic strengthening, individualized using the moment-velocity profile, is clinically efficient for functional recovery during post-stroke rehabilitation of older patients. Sleeping over a sleep disorder - Awareness of obstructive sleep apnoea as a modifiable risk factor for hypertension and stroke: A survey among health care professionals and medical students
Conclusion: This study reveals dismal level of awareness, among health professionals and medical students, about OSA being an established and modifiable risk factor for hypertension and ischemic stroke.

Predictive factors of subjective sleep quality and insomnia complaint in patients with stroke: implications for clinical practice.
Abstract
The complaints regarding sleep problems have not been well identified after a stroke. The aim of this study was to investigate the predictive factors of sleep quality and insomnia complaints in patients with stroke. A total of 70 subjects, 40 patients (57 ± 7 years) and 30 healthy controls (52 ± 6 years) assessed by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and the Sleep Habits Questionnaire took part in the study. Effect of socioeconomic level on knowledge of stroke in the general population: A social inequality gradient
Conclusions Educational level, income, employment status, and state of health are independent factors for adequate knowledge of stroke. Public awareness campaigns should present material using simple language and efforts should be directed towards the most disadvantaged social strata in particular.

The Role of Short Term Psychological and Somatic Anxiety in the Prediction of Long Term Anxiety of Early Hospital Discharged Patients with Complete Functional Recovery after a Mild Stroke
Few previous investigations have focused on post-stroke anxiety (PSA) predictors in mild stroke patients. The aim of the study was to determine whether anxiety-related psychological symptoms and psychomotor agitation predict PSA. We compared 10 anxious and 10 non-anxious patients at 6 months post-stroke (T2) to their psychological anxiety and psychomotor agitation levels 3 months earlier (T1). Anxious patients had more psychological anxiety symptoms than non-anxious patients. Overall T2 anxiety was strongly correlated with T1 psychological anxiety. Development and validity of an innovative test to assess guideline-consistent clinical reasoning by physical therapists in stroke rehabilitation.
CONCLUSION: The script concordance test has good construct validity. Greater self-reported guideline knowledge, successful completion of the post-bachelor Dutch Neurorehabilitation course, as well as systematic participation in professional development activities facilitate important factors that enhance specialization. The script concordance test is a valid feedback tool for physical therapists to support professional development in the domain of stroke rehabilitation.

Contrast-induced nephropathy: A dilemma between loss of neurons or nephrons in the setting of endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSION: Contrast-induced nephropathy is a relatively common complication after endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke and is associated with worse outcome in patients with this condition. However, there is no increase in the frequency of hemodialysis after the use of iodinated contrast medium.
