Studying during a Trip?
Hope everyone's preparation is going well! Anyway I have trip coming up abroad for about 2 weeks. I was wondering what would be the most effective use of my time for studying during the trip? I do have a pretty active itinerary planned, but not so much at night, plus long layovers. I was planning on reviewing my Psy/Soc kaplan flash cards (I've been neglecting that section and next to the physical science it's my worse) as well as doing my daily 2 Cars passages from my EK101 (scanned... SCANDAL in MARYLAND!! No More Decorative Medical Licenses?!
I just paid $800 for my initial license in the DPRM (Democratic People's Republic of Maryland). Instead of receiving the standard-for-decades, sealed, caligraphic wall license/certificate, I received the same type of license you see in elevators certifying their safety. Really?? For all my efforts, education, time, etc. (plus the $800...), and after decades if not close to a century of decorative certificates, they send me an elevator card?? I called up the MBP and apparently, they... SCANDAL in MARYLAND!! No More Decorative Medical Licenses?! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Best way to find out if a residency is DO friendly?
Besides going to individual residency websites and scanning through current residents... is there a solid, up to date database with residencies that have accepted DOs on a year to year basis? Just a first year here but I'm curious. Doximity seems to be the solid but even that only filters residency programs that are AOA-accredited (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Would I be out of line asking for a raise?
Im working as a technician for an office. I’ve been working for 6 months. Before I took this job, I got my BS in Biology. I’m applying for optometry school currently. I make $10/hr. I know it’s very low compared to others with a similar degree, but I think that the scope of my work doesn’t even use my degree. And I think that’s why I’m only making $10/hr. In the six months’ time I’ve worked, I’ve improved the quality of my scans. When I started, the doctor would sometimes order a rescan... Would I be out of line asking for a raise? EPT walg wisconsin question
So... how the heck do you dispense this? Got 1 erx saying to dispense both doses... I probably shouldn't fill the full qty under the one's insurance since technically I'm dispensing for 2 people... maybe bill half under ins and then cash out the other half? Do I print the erx and scan the image under a separate EPT profile? what is that profile even called in IC+?? (I called two walgreens nearby and my home store and they've never done ept before either lol) (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Teleradiologist Job abroad
Just an interesting thought came to mind, but can a US licensed and certified radiologist work in another foreign country a as a teleradiologist? What would be the limitations? Would that radiologist need to be licensed in the foreign country as well to read scans from the US? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Seeking a Specific Resource
I am seeking the original source material for this image of an illustration scanned from a text book or journal article depicting the male and female homologous tissue of the penis and clitoris: http://afterdinnerparty.com/files/cache/225a388b0fa5e640ec936c2ed01e5c89.jpg I checked the resources listed on that site, but the ones I have access to do not contain the illustration. I believe it may be in the textbook Ridley's The Vulva, but I do not currently have access to... Seeking a Specific Resource (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Should I routinely order bone scans for ongoing pain after TKA?
I understand that this can be ordered to assess for hardware loosening not seeing on plain films. Makes sense. Would you order it on any post TKA still in pain patient with a negative infectious workup? The issue is that the orthopods that refer the failed TKAs to me for geniculars do not order these ever, although they do often do an infection workup. Interestingly, none of them ever order a bone scan, and I see patients from many different orthopods locally. The point being, if a scan... Derm vs radiology
I'm an M4 trying to find out what I want to do with my life and feel caught between these 2 specialties and would appreciate any insight! Radiology Pros: i think i enjoy reading the scans, i find the research more interesting in this field. can work from home/anywhere, seems like you can have a relatively good lifestyle (not much call/weekends depending what you do). less competitive = better chances matching at ideal location/program Cons: 6 years for residency (basically required...
