Correlation between grading methods of the cochlear endolymphatic hydrops and hearing loss in meniere's disease using three-dimensional real inversion recovery sequences
CONCLUSIONS: The grading consistency of M2, M3, M4 is relatively higher than that of M1, and M2 shows the strongest correlation with hearing loss.SIGNIFICANCE: Our results provide a more accurate method for assessing the clinical severity of MD.PMID:37195094 | DOI:10.1080/00016489.2023.2209134 (Source: Acta Oto-Laryngologica)

Single-cell immune profiling of Meniere Disease patients
CONCLUSION: Our results support a systemic inflammatory response in some MD patients that show a type 2 response with allergic phenotype, which could benefit from personalized IL-4 blockers.PMID:37178857 | DOI:10.1016/j.clim.2023.109632 (Source: Clinical Immunology)

A Novel MR Imaging Sequence of 3D-ZOOMit Real Inversion-Recovery Imaging Improves Endolymphatic Hydrops Detection in Patients with Meniere Disease [HEAD & NECK]
CONCLUSIONS: The 3D-ZOOMit real IR sequences are superior to conventional 3D TSE inversion-recovery with real reconstruction sequences in visualizing the endolymphatic space, detecting endolymphatic hydrops, and discovering contrast permeability. (Source: American Journal of Neuroradiology)

Acupuncture Therapy for Peripheral Vestibular Vertigo (with Suspected M énière's Disease)
CONCLUSIONS: This case report shows that acupuncture therapy was very helpful for a patient with peripheral vestibular vertigo. Acupuncture can be used to treat patients who have vertigo and contraindications to pharmacologic therapies, and can to reduce side-effects of pharmacologic therapies. Further investigation of acupuncture therapy for peripheral vertigo is warranted.PMID:37095787 | PMC:PMC10122261 | DOI:10.1089/acu.2022.0012 (Source: Acupuncture in Medicine)
