Screening mammography frequency following dense breast notification among a predominantly Hispanic/Latina screening cohort
ConclusionWomen receiving their first DBN after previous non-dense mammograms have lower mammography participation within 2.5  years. DBN has limited influence on screening participation of first-time screeners and those with persistent dense mammograms. (Source: Cancer Causes and Control)

Assessing the malignancy of suspicious breast microcalcifications: the role of contrast enhanced mammography
ConclusionsThe absence of enhancement can be used as an indicative parameter for the absence of disease in cases of low-suspicious microcalcifications, but not in intermediate-high suspicious ones for which biopsy remains mandatory and can be used to distinguish indolent lesions from more aggressive neoplasms, with consequent reduction of overdiagnosis and overtreatment. Association of imaging and pathological findings of breast cancer in very young women: Report of a twenty-year retrospective study
CONCLUSION: Our study shows the most common subtype to be Luminal A cancer, with 74 % of the tumors being larger than 2 cm at the time of diagnosis. Irregular masses with non-circumscribed margins were the most common imaging findings.PMID:38599926 | DOI:10.1016/j.clinimag.2024.110094 (Source: Clinical Breast Cancer)

Investigating the Detection of Breast Cancer with Deep Transfer Learning Using Resnet18 and Resnet34
Biomed Phys Eng Express. 2024 Apr 10. doi: 10.1088/2057-1976/ad3cdf. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA lot of underdeveloped nations, particularly in Africa, struggle with cancer-related, deadly diseases. Particularly in women, the incidence of breast cancer is rising daily because of ignorance and delayed diagnosis. Only by correctly identifying and diagnosing cancer in its very early stages of development can be effectively treated. The classification of cancer can be accelerated and automated with the aid of computer-aided diagnosis and medical image analysis techniques. This research provides the use of transfer learning...

Exploring female medical students' knowledge, attitudes, practices, and perceptions related to breast cancer screening: a scoping review
J Med Life. 2023 Dec;16(12):1732-1739. doi: 10.25122/jml-2023-0412.ABSTRACTEarly detection measures for breast cancer, such as breast self-exams, clinical breast exams, and mammography, have considerable benefits in effectively reducing breast cancer-related mortality. As the incidence of breast cancer is steadily increasing, it is crucial to raise awareness on early detection. This scoping review assessed the current knowledge, attitudes, practices, and perceptions of breast cancer screening among female medical students. We used the six phases of Arksey and O'Malley's framework from the Joanna Briggs Institute Manual and...
