IL2RA rs2104286 and IL2 rs2069762 polymorphisms may be associated with bipolar disorder and its clinical findings
In this study, we showed for the first time that the genotype distribution of IL2RA rs2104286 and IL2 rs2069762 is associated with BD susceptibility and CGI-S score in a Turkish population.PMID:37843874 | DOI:10.1080/15257770.2023.2266820 (Source: Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids)

Association of fatty acid binding protein-4 (FABP-4) T87C and rs8192688 gene polymorphisms and FABP-4 level with cardiovascular disease susceptibility in type 2 diabetic patients
Nucleosides Nucleotides Nucleic Acids. 2023 Oct 9:1-14. doi: 10.1080/15257770.2023.2265943. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTType 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is known to cause dyslipidemia and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Fatty acid binding protein (FABP)-4 plays a significant role in various stages of T2DM and CVD. Although it has been demonstrated that genetic variations of the FABP-4 gene can affect insulin sensitivity, the results obtained so far are controversial. The aim of this study was to investigate the possible association between T87C and rs8192688 polymorphisms and serum levels of FABP-4 with...

The evaluation of the possibility of Li-Fraumeni syndrome in cancer patients in East Azarbaijan Province of Iran
CONCLUSION: Our results show that there were no mutations in exons 5-8 of the TP53 gene as an indication of LFS possibility in these families. Further studies are needed to be done in a bigger population, and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) needs to be done to evaluate the whole genome of these patients to complete our data.PMID:37801337 | DOI:10.1080/15257770.2023.2264361 (Source: Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids)
