Causal relationship between irritability and asthma: a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization study
CONCLUSION: The causal relationship between irritability and asthma was analyzed through MR analysis. Irritability increased the risk of asthma. GERD might play an important mediating role in this relationship.PMID:38506573 | DOI:10.1080/15257770.2024.2330594 (Source: Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids)

MiRNA-miRNA interaction network in peripheral blood of patients with myocardial infarction: a gene expression meta-analysis
Nucleosides Nucleotides Nucleic Acids. 2024 Mar 18:1-18. doi: 10.1080/15257770.2024.2330597. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIn recent years, investigations have revealed that microRNAs (miRNAs) can bind together and form a miRNA-miRNA-mRNA regulatory network that alters the consequence of miRNA-mRNA interaction. If we consider the miRNA that binds to mRNA as the primary miRNA and the miRNA that binds to the primary miRNA as the secondary one, secondry miRNAs can act as master regulators upstream of primary miRNAs and their target mRNAs. One of the distinguishing characteristics of secondary miRNAs as master regulators withi...

Protective effect of FKBP12 on dextran sulfate sodium-induced ulcerative colitis in mice as a tacrolimus receptor
In conclusion, our study revealed that FKBP12 may act as a TAC receptor to have anti-inflammatory and protective effects on DSS-induced UC in mice, which will provide a new option for the treatment of UC.PMID:38466901 | DOI:10.1080/15257770.2024.2320817 (Source: Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids)

< em > IL-18 < /em > and < em > CD14 < /em > variants in chronic HBV predisposition: a case-control study with < em > in silico < /em > analyses focused on transcription and splicing
Nucleosides Nucleotides Nucleic Acids. 2024 Mar 8:1-21. doi: 10.1080/15257770.2024.2326132. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTHepatitis B virus (HBV), a vaccine-avoidable infection, is a health concern worldwide, leading to liver disorders such as acute self-constraint and chronic hepatitis, liver failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and even hepatocellular carcinoma if untreated. 'Immunogeneticprofiling', genetic variations of the pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines responsible for regulating the immune responses, cause person-to-person differences and impact the clinical manifestation of the disease. The current experimental-bioinfo...
