Polymorphism of the Oxytocin Receptor (OXTR) Gene Affects the Circulating Oxytocin Receptor Levels in Late-Term Pregnancy in a Turkish Population
Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the rs53576 oxytocin receptor single-nucleotide polymorphism is associated with late-term pregnancy through acting by direct modulation of oxytocin and oxytocin receptor levels.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

The Influence of Academic Hospitalists on Labor and Delivery Outcomes
Conclusion: Women cared for by academic hospitalists were more likely to have a cesarean delivery, but there was no difference in maternal or neonatal morbidity in patients delivered by private or academic hospitalists.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Do Follicles of Obese Patients Yield Competent Oocytes/Embryos?
Conclusion: Oocyte recovery rate from follicles #x3e;15 mm is unrelated to patients ’ BMI. Moreover, the oocytes recovered from obese patients are competent yielding comparable zygote and TQE per follicle/oocyte, compared with nonobese patients. Further investigation is required to strengthen this finding.Gynecol Obstet Invest 2020;85:290 –293 (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Differential Secretion of Inflammatory Cytokines by Human Trophoblasts in the Presence of < b > < i > Escherichia coli < /i > < /b > , < b > < i > Lactobacillus crispatus < /i > < /b > , and < b > < i > Lactobacillus jensenii < /i > < /b >
Conclusion: All 3 bacterial species triggered significant release of chemokines and inflammatory cytokines, suggesting that a commensal relationship with trophoblasts may not be feasible.Gynecol Obstet Invest 2020;85:277 –283 (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Immunophenotypic Conversion between Primary and Relapse Breast Cancer and its Effects on Survival
Conclusion: The characteristics of breast cancer can change over the time. Variations of the ER or PR status in MD group have prognostic value for PFS. To perform a biopsy of relapses is warranted in order to establish the prognostic of the current disease, and probably a more accurate treatment.Gynecol Obstet Invest 2020;85:259 –266 (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Impact of Diabetes Mellitus on Postoperative Complications Following Laparoscopic Hysterectomy for Benign Indications
Conclusion: Both NIDDM and IDDM were independent risk factors for postoperative complications after laparoscopic hysterectomy. However, the IDDM cohort had the highest odds of complications. Diabetic patients should be carefully counseled regarding their elevated risk of perioperative complications.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Lack of an Association between a Polymorphism in the KRAS 3 ′ Untranslated Region (rs61764370) and Endometriosis in a Large European Case-Control Study
Conclusion: A germ-line single-nucleotide polymorphism in thelet-7 microRNA-binding site of theKRAS gene was not associated with sporadic endometriosis in an infertile Caucasian population in this large case-control study. However, it remains possible that this gene variant may be a marker of treatment resistance. Further studies on the role of this polymorphism in endometriosis are needed.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

A Comparison of Hemostatic Properties between Monopolar and Bipolar Hysteroscopic Surgery using Rotational Thromboelastometry: A Randomized Trial
