Ovarian Clear Cell Carcinoma Detected During Long-Term Management of Endometriotic Cysts in Young Patients: Possible Heterogeneity of this Tumor
Ovarian endometriotic cysts have been identified as the possible origin of ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC), so predicting or preventing future transformation is important. Early detection of clear cell carcinoma is important because it shows low sensitivity to chemotherapy and the prognosis is worse than for other histologic types. We recently treated 2 patients with OCCC. They were both young women with no family history of cancer who received long-term oral contraceptive therapy for endometriotic cysts, and the histologic diagnosis was typical clear cell carcinoma in both patients. However, in Case 1, the tumor was d...

A Non-Lethal Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type II Mutation
Conclusion: The unexpected clinical outcome should serve as a reminder that phenotypic variability can occur with genetic mutations. Our case shows that the diagnosis of the type of OI should be based not only on clinical findings and genetic investigations but also on the clinical course over time.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Three-Dimensional Modelization of the Female Human Inferior Hypogastric Plexus: Implications for Nerve-Sparing Radical Hysterectomy
Conclusions: The SHP could be injured during paraaortic lymphadenectomy. Following the ureter and resecting the medial fibrous part of the uterosacral ligament may spare the HN. No dissection should be performed under the crossing point of the ureter and the uterine artery.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)

Conclusion: Women with high-GRS for PCOS had increased risk of insulin resistance and low energy intake did not protect against the elevation of insulin resistance in women with high GRS. Low energy intake might be protective against PCOS in carriers with low and medium GRS.Gynecol Obstet Invest (Source: Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation)
