Influencing factors of lung shunt fraction in transarterial radioembolization treatment
ConclusionLSFSPECT/CT with attenuation correction can provide more accurate results compared to LSFplanar before TARE treatment. In patients who had liver lesions located adjacent to lung, the possible miscalculation of LSFSPECT/CT from scattering and spillover effect could be eliminated by exclusion of 3  cm diameter from inferior border of the right lung. PET receptor imaging in breast cancer
AbstractMost of the breast cancers overexpress certain receptors which have a role in development and progression of the disease. Receptors are also target for treatments. The most common receptors that are overexpressed in breast cancer cells are hormone receptors for estrogen (ER) and progesterone (PR) and human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2) receptor. Various other receptors, such as receptors for androgen, somatostatin, chemokine, and gastrin-releasing peptide, have also been reported to be overexpressed in breast cancer. A number of PET radiotracers are available to image receptors in breast cancer, such as18F-fluor...

Multimodality imaging for diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment monitoring of cardiac sarcoidosis
AbstractCardiac sarcoidosis (CS), with either extracardiac involvement or in isolation, is increasingly recognized. Complications from cardiac involvement are the leading cause of death in patients with sarcoidosis, rendering early detection extremely important given the significant therapeutic and prognostic implications. However, the diagnosis of CS remains challenging due to the lack of a reliable gold standard, largely due to the low sensitivity of traditional endomyocardial biopsy and patchy myocardial involvement. Recent advances in cardiac imaging with [18F] fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography –compute...

Dosimetry in Lu-177-DOTATATE peptide receptor radionuclide therapy: a systematic review
ConclusionAccording to the present dosimetric review,177Lu-DOTATATE PRRT appears to be a safe and reliable treatment option for advanced GEP-NETs. From the dosimetric point of view, kidneys are theoretically the major organs at risk in177Lu-DOTATATE treatment. The optimization of the number of treatment cycles beyond the prescribed limit of four and the maximum administered activity in each cycle must be determined by individual patient dosimetry in order to reduce the risk of organ toxicities whilst maximizing therapeutic efficacy. A systematic review of radiomics for predicting treatment response and survival in locally advanced cervical cancer: positive results or optimistic illusions?
ConclusionsRadiomics for predicting treatment response and survival in LACC is still in its infancy, and the available results must be treated cautiously. Future studies should focus more on standardized radiomics workflows, validation of predictive models, and reporting the correlation of biological information with predicted outcomes. Diagnostic value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in primary and metastatic renal tumors: a pilot study
Conclusion18F-FDG PET/CT may be a useful imaging modality for detecting primary renal tumors and metastatic renal tumors and may provide valuable information for the differential diagnosis of primary renal tumors and metastatic renal tumors. The SUV, TBR, TLR, maximum diameter, and MTV of a renal mass are potential predictive factors to distinguish primary and metastatic renal tumors. In addition,18F-FDG PET/CT revealed differences in metabolic activity based on the histopathological type of renal tumors, which may help to individualize treatment. PSMA PET/CT and PET/MRI in primary staging of prostate cancer and its effect on patient management
ConclusionsDespite the clear superiority of PSMA PET over conventional imaging for primary staging of intermediate- and high-risk PCa, PSMA PET is currently not yet identified as the gold standard imaging modality in this setting in the European Association of Urology (EAU) guidelines, given that no prospective studies demonstrating a clear benefit of treatment adaptation are available at this moment. The results of prospective trials exploring the benefit of PSMA PET-based treatment algorithms are, therefore, strongly awaited. (Source: Clinical and Translational Imaging)

Clinicians ’ perspectives on PET/CT in oncological patients: an Italian National Survey
ConclusionTo sum up, a “still not” complete confidence with PET/CT indications and the need to facilitate access to indications and their update emerged from our results. Moreover, a structured PET/CT report with a clarification on essential PET features is warranted. In this scenario, the participation of nuclear med icine physicians in guideline oncological committees, national and international oncological conferences as well as continuous training among all specialists involved in cancer patients’ management could be effective strategies to resolve clinicians' concerns about PET/CT, thereby improving the m anage...
