Systematic review and meta-analysis on the effect of adjuvant gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) on pregnancy outcomes in women with endometriosis following conservative surgery
Endometriosis frequently results in pain and infertility. While conservative surgery offers some relief, it often falls short of ensuring satisfactory pregnancy outcomes. Adjuvant GnRH-a is administered post-s... (Source: BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth)

Map-1a regulates Sertoli cell BTB dynamics through the cytoskeletal organization of microtubule and F-actin
Reprod Biol Endocrinol. 2024 Apr 3;22(1):36. doi: 10.1186/s12958-024-01204-y.ABSTRACTMicrotubule-associated protein 1a (Map1a) is a microtubule (MT) regulatory protein that binds to the MT protofilaments in mammalian cells to promote MT stabilization. Maps work with MT cleavage proteins and other MT catastrophe-inducing proteins to confer MT dynamics to support changes in the Sertoli cell shape to sustain spermatogenesis. However, no functional studies are found in the literature to probe its role in spermatogenesis. Using an RNAi approach, coupled with the use of toxicant-induced testis (in vivo)- and Sertoli cell (in vit...

Gestational and neonatal outcomes of women with partial Dunnigan lipodystrophy
ConclusionOur data showed a high frequency of fetal complications in women with FPLD2. However, no instances of infertility or prolonged attempts to conceive have been reported, highlighting the significance of employing effective contraception strategies to plan pregnancies at optimal times for managing metabolic comorbidities. Novel SPEF2 variants cause male infertility and likely primary ciliary dyskinesia
ConclusionOur study reported four novel pathogenic variants ofSPEF2 in three male patients with infertility and PCD/PCD-like phenotypes, which not only extend the spectrum ofSPEF2 mutations but also provide information for genetic counseling and treatment of such conditions. Inhibition of IGF2BP1 attenuates the progression of endometriosis through PTBP1
CONCLUSIONS: IGF2BP1 exhibits potential beneficial properties in the management of EMs by interacting with PTBP1, thereby highlighting IGF2BP1 as a promising therapeutic target for EMs.PMID:38563050 | DOI:10.5603/fhc.98213 (Source: Folia Histochemica et Cytobiologica)

Clinical application value of pre-pregnancy carrier screening in Chinese Han childbearing population
CONCLUSION: Monogenic recessive hereditary diseases had a high carrier rate in the population. Pre-pregnancy screening could provide good prenatal and postnatal care guidance for patients and preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic/single gene disorders (PGT-M) and prenatal diagnosis could provide more precise reproductive choices for high-risk parents.PMID:38562051 | DOI:10.1002/mgg3.2425 (Source: Molecular Medicine)
