Diagnostic immunohistochemistry for canine cutaneous round cell tumours - retrospective analysis of 60 cases.
CONCLUSIONS: Both canine cutaneous histiocytoma and cutaneous lymphoma should be considered at the beginning of differential diagnosis for CCRCTs. While most poorly differentiated CCRCTs can be diagnosed immunohistochemically using 1-4 basic antibodies, some require a broad antibody panel, including mesenchymal, epithelial, myogenic, and melanocytic markers. The expression of Iba1 is specific for canine cutaneous histiocytic tumours, and more sensitive than CD18. The utility of CD20 in the diagnosis of CCRCTs is limited. NKT-like cells reveal higher than T lymphocytes expression of cellular protective proteins HSP70 and SOD2 and comparably increased expression of SIRT1 in the oldest seniors.
CONCLUSIONS: The analysis of CD3+ and CD3+CD56+ lymphocytes showed the increase in the number of NKT-like cells and decreased number of T cells in the process of ageing. Cancer immunotherapy in mice and humans: personal observations.

RSK1 promotes murine breast cancer growth and metastasis.
We examined tumor growth and formation of pulmonary metastasis. Boyden chamber, wound healing and soft agarose assays were performed to evaluate cells invasion, migration and anchorage-independent growth. RESULTS: We found that RSK1 promoted tumor growth and metastasis in vivo. After 35 days all animals inoculated with control cells developed tumors while in the group injected with RSK1-negative cells, there were 75% tumor-bearing mice. Immunoexpression of IgA receptors (CD89, CD71) in dermatitis herpetiformis.
CONCLUSIONS: CD89 is probably a key IgA Fc receptor in DH development, where it is associated with immune response to gluten. CD71 may be linked with inflammation in DH and IgAN. TP53 polymorphism in plasma cell myeloma.
CONCLUSIONS: The results suggest that P72R polymorphisms may be associated with an increased PCM risk and may affect OS of PCM patients. However, we saw no consistent results of the polymorphism effect on apoptosis and necrosis in cell cultures derived from PCM patients. Further studies are need in this regard. Immunohistochemical characteristics of neurons in the ganglia of the greater splanchnic nerve of the pig.

Mitochondrial sirtuins in the rat adrenal gland: location within the glands of males and females, hormonal and developmental regulation of gene expressions.
CONCLUSIONS: Sirt3-5 are expressed throughout the rat adrenal, with the highest expression levels in adrenal cortex. Performed experiments (ACTH stimulation, FCS depletion, regeneration) suggest that in the adrenal cortex, the mitochondrial Sirt5 is the primary mitochondrial sirtuin involved in regulating the biological activity of adrenocortical cells. Our results also suggest that normal levels of intracellular Nampt (iNampt) enzymatic activity are required to maintain normal (control) levels of Sirt5 mRNA in cultured cells. Circulating tumor cells in urological cancers.
This study focused on determining CTC percentages; these values vary between different types of cancer. In addition to their diagnostic use, CTCs may also be used to treat the disease. Calculating CTC population size and analyzing their biology in patients in advanced stages of cancer may prove valuable in creating a molecular profile for the disease.
