Ultrasound findings of hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma: comparison with other malignant hepatic tumors
ConclusionHEHE mainly performed multiple hypoechoic lesions on CUS and displayed greater odds of synchronous enhancement in arterial phase, iso- or hypo-enhancement in peak time and wash out more quickly on CEUS, which allowed for differentiation from other common malignant tumors.Graphical abstract (Source: Abdominal Imaging)

Sarcoma of the Lung and Mediastinum
Primary sarcoma of the lung and mediastinum is rare. The diagnosis requires careful exclusion of sarcomatoid carcinoma, sarcomatoid mesothelioma, and metastases from extra-thoracic sites. This review summarizes the key morphologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular characteristics of sarcomas that are encountered in the lung and mediastinum. The tumor types discussed are synovial sarcoma, well-differentiated/dedifferentiated liposarcoma, myxoid pleomorphic liposarcoma, intimal sarcoma of the pulmonary artery, inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, primary pulmonary myxoid sarcoma, malignant ...

Composite haemangioendothelioma with neuroendocrine marker differentiation presenting as a pink-brown nodule
We report a case of a 55-year-old female with an asymptomatic pink-brown nodule. Histological examination demonstrated a composite haemangioendothelioma with positive synaptophysin staining.PMID:38095137 | DOI:10.1111/ajd.14189 (Source: The Australasian Journal of Dermatology)

Kaposiform Hemangioendothelioma With Bone Destruction: A 16-Year Follow-Up Cohort Study of the Clinical Characteristics and Prognosis
Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is a rare, locally aggressive vascular tumor that often occurs in infants and young children. The goal of this study was to analyze the clinical characteristics of KHE patients with bone destruction and provide clinical guidance for diagnosis and treatment. Treating rare tumors with liver transplantation
Curr Opin Organ Transplant. 2023 Oct 19. doi: 10.1097/MOT.0000000000001118. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPURPOSE OF REVIEW: The success of liver transplantation (LT) in treating unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has resulted in interest in LT for other oncologic conditions. Here, we discuss the role of LT for rare oncologic indications including metastatic gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs), hepatic epitheliod hemangioendothelioma (HEHE), fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (FLC), and hepatic angiosarcoma (HAS).RECENT FINDINGS: Conditions reviewed have been documented indications for LT i...
