Multifocal lower limb hemangioendothelioma in a young female: a case report and review of the literature
Int J Clin Exp Pathol. 2024 Mar 15;17(3):83-89. doi: 10.62347/YRCF9861. eCollection 2024.ABSTRACTA 26-year-old female presented with pain and swelling of distal thigh and distal leg. She was diagnosed with multifocal epitheloid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) and was successfully treated with wide resection of femoral and tibial lesions followed by their reconstruction using vascularised fibular graft and local bone grafting. One year into follow-up, the patient remained asymptomatic with full Range Of Motion (ROM) and full weight bearing walking. This case illustrates a unique multifocal presentation of hemangioendothelioma an...

Infantile Hemangiomas and Vascular Anomalies
Pediatr Ann. 2024 Apr;53(4):e129-e137. doi: 10.3928/19382359-20240205-04. Epub 2024 Apr 1.ABSTRACTVascular anomalies represent a diverse group of disorders of abnormal vascular development or proliferation. Vascular anomalies are classified as vascular tumors and vascular malformations. Significant advances have been made in the understanding of the pathogenesis, natural history, and genetics of vascular anomalies, allowing for improvements in management including targeted molecular therapies. Infantile hemangiomas are the most common vascular tumor of childhood and follow a distinct natural history of proliferation and in...

TFE3 rearranged epithelioid hemangioendothelioma of the lymph node: A rare primary presentation of vascular tumor
We present a 49-year-old male patient who presented with an inguinal mass but was otherwise asymptomatic. Clinical and radiological workup failed to reveal any other primary lesion. The lymph node was excised and the histomorphological examination showed an epithelioid and spindle neoplasm with chondromyxoid stroma. The diagnosis of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma was suspected based on histomorphology and immunohistochemistry, which showed diffuse positivity for CD31, CD34, and TFE3 stains. This was further confirmed by the fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) technique that showed TFE3 gene rearrangement.PMID:385637...
