Compression of the Pulmonary Artery and Coronary Artery Caused by Pulmonary Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma: A Case Report
Heart Surg Forum. 2023 Feb 28;26(1):E131-E133. doi: 10.1532/hsf.5191.ABSTRACTA 63-year-old woman with a five-month history of pulmonary epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (PEH) presented to the emergency department, due to worsening dyspnea and chest pain. The electrocardiography showed a pattern of ST-segment elevation in leads I, AVL, and poor R-wave progression consistent with anterolateral ischemia. Emergent coronary angiography revealed severe stenosis of the left main coronary artery. Then, contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan indicated the right pulmonary artery and left main coronary artery narrowing by compres...

Kaposiform haemangioendothelioma of the spine associated with fixed hyperlordotic deformity and Kasabach –Merritt Syndrome: a case report and literature review
We present a, rare case of KHE who presented with progressive fixed hyperlordotic deformity, multiple non-specific spinal lesions, and abnormal blood tests, posing a clinical and radiological diagnostic challenge. Additionally, we conducted a thorough review of the literature to compare and contrast the various multimodality imaging manifestations of KHE involving the spine. (Source: Skeletal Radiology)

NOTCH3 missense mutations as predictor of long-term response to gemcitabine in a patient with epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
CONCLUSION: The observation that this missense mutation of NOTCH3 is associated with an increased response to treatment with gemcitabine in EHE can be used prospectively to assess NOTCH3 as potential biomarker for predicting therapy response to gemcitabine.PMID:36749424 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-023-04598-1 (Source: Cell Research)
