Evaluation of inhibitory activity, purification and X-ray crystallography of Alpha-Amylase inhibitor from Phaseolus vulgaris cultivars of Uttarakhand, India
Braz J Biol. 2022 Oct 10;84:e253180. doi: 10.1590/1519-6984.253180. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTThe present work is based on analysis of inhibitory activity of alpha-amylase inhibitor in selected cultivars of Phaseolus vulgaris of Uttarakhand. Fifteen samples were assessed for inhibitory activity of alpha-amylase inhibitor. Significant variations were found in different cultivars. Crude extract of alpha-amylase inhibitor from sample PUR (Purola) have shown maximum inhibitory activity (70.2 ± 0.84). Crude extract of all the cultivars have shown considerable variations in inhibitory activity in the temperature ranging from 20Â...

Rhizobium etli CFN42 proteomes showed isoenzymes in free-living and symbiosis with a different transcriptional regulation inferred from a transcriptional regulatory network
A comparative proteomic study at 6 h of growth in minimal medium (MM) and bacteroids at 18 days of symbiosis of Rhizobium etli CFN42 with the Phaseolus vulgaris leguminous plant was performed. A gene ontology classification of proteins in MM and bacteroid, showed 31 and 10 pathways with higher or equal than 30 and 20% of proteins with respect to genome content per pathway, respectively. These pathways were for energy and environmental compound metabolism, contributing to understand how Rhizobium is adapted to the different conditions. Metabolic maps based on orthology of the protein profiles, showed 101 and 74 function...

Mitotic effects of copper oxide nanoparticle on root development and root tip cells of Phaseolus vulgaris L. seeds
Microsc Res Tech. 2022 Oct 7. doi: 10.1002/jemt.24239. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTCopper oxide nanoparticle (CuO NP) is used widely in many fields in nanotechnology. For this reason, both production, use, and release to the environment are increasing with each passing day. With the increased use of products that contain nanoparticles (NP) (<100 nm), plants and organisms that constitute the food chain are at risk. In the present study, Phaseolus vulgaris L., a very common food plant, was exposed to metal-based CuO NPs. The anomalies that were caused by CuO NP in germination and mitosis of P. vulgaris were investigated...

A novel BiOCl (110)/rGO/Ag3PO4 (111) heterostructure for efficient detoxification of 2,4-dichlorophenol
Chemosphere. 2022 Sep 28:136616. doi: 10.1016/j.chemosphere.2022.136616. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAn effective method using nontoxic and efficient photocatalysts are crucial for wastewater treatment. Bismuth oxychloride (BiOCl) is considered as one of the valuable photocatalysts due to its unique layered plate like structure, however higher recombination and unsatisfied visible light absorption efficiency seriously affecting its applications. Addition of tetrahedral silver phosphate (Ag3PO4) which is known for its superior photocatalytic efficiency under visible light is believed to be the solution for the issue. Upon...
