Need some advice - 2020 grad, employment/testing questions
Just passed NJ naplex, failed my MPJE. I am currently waiting the 30 days before being able to take it again, and I'm also interested in getting licensed in PA.
I was working at CVS but wasn't given an offer at the end of my intern period. Currently I'm not working anywhere. I've been applying to places via indeed.com and also via the company websites (riteaid, walgreens, etc). What makes it confusing for me right now is that I am not exactly sure if I should be applying as a pharmacist or...

Locums?
So, why are locum radiology rates so bad compared to just straight up private practice employment. 2400 a day is the higher end of the number that I've seen researching locum stuff. In other specialties, working locums say in ER or even neurology etc. is much more lucrative... Or are there hidden payment structures employed that they don't tell you when looking at job boards etc. I would imagine 4-6k a day to be more reasonable for a locum rate... Employment Impact...
Since my freshman year I have worked approximately 50hrs a week in a clinical leadership role at a healthcare facility. I am sitting at around 55 credits so far and have maintained a 4.0 (including completing 1/2 of my pre reqs)! I also have hundreds of volunteer hours both clinical and non-clinical in addition to 30+ shadowing hours. I would appreciate some insight as to how my employment would be viewed by adcoms?? Thanks. Mistakes on AMCAS
Every time I read my application, I find new mistakes... I don't know what I was thinking I put no on "paid employment before 18" but on the description I said I had a couple of part time jobs during school years...
I mean I started working when I 14... but I don't know what I was thinking.. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Overwhelming changes - COVID times
It appears that the new "norm," in lieu of clinical volunteering, will be to gain clinical employment due to limited opportunities for volunteering.
The average employer (Nurse Assisting) in my area wants at least 20 hours a week with mandatory overtime when needed. Seems this is expected all while juggling a full-time course load (and maintaining grades) and studying for the MCAT (earlier and part-time, over a longer period, due to limited time).
Is this the new pre-med lifestyle? Anyone...
