Use of surgical procedure manager to standardise operation steps and monitor surgeon performance in open repair of inguinal hernia
ConclusionsThe use of SPM did not significantly prolong the operation time and produce comparable operative outcomes in open hernia repair. Effect of implementation strategies on the routine provision of antenatal care addressing smoking in pregnancy: study protocol for a non-randomised stepped-wedge cluster controlled trial
This study aims to determine the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of implementation strategies in increasing the routine provision of recommended antenatal care for smoking cessation in public maternity services.

Institutional design and moral conflict in health care priority-setting
AbstractPriority-setting policy-makers often face moral and political pressure to balance the conflicting motivations ofefficiency andrescue/non-abandonment. Using the conflict between these motivations as a case study can enrich the understanding of institutional design in developed democracies. This essay presents a cognitive-psychological account of the conflict between efficiency and rescue/non-abandonment in health care priority-setting.
