Waitlisted: Sending Letters (yay or nay)
Hi, everyone! I was curious if anyone has ever sent a letter of continued interest? I know that this is a thing with some PhD and Med programs but wasnt sure about Veterinary schools. Would this be frowned upon and make me look worse? Would this be favorable? Some schools do not release rankings on their waitlist so I wasnt sure if there was any flexibility there. Thank you in advance! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

DO Schools with low amount of students accepting offer
Hello, I wanted to see if there were any schools that have not met their quotas for the amount of students they’d like to have for the upcoming class. I’m thinking about applying to those schools. Any advice helps! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

FAFSA Submission Before Decisions
Hi all! I was wondering if it's bad form to submit FAFSA to schools before they've given you a decision post interview. Previously, you had been able to make changes to your FAFSA form after submitting and add new schools but it seems like this year you're unable to do so after submitting. I would like to submit my FAFSA to my top two choices right now right now as a financial aid offer from one of them may take it from my last choice to my first choice if they're able to do so. However, I... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What schools favor EMS experience?
am applying this cycle. i have decent stats, 3.8 / 512. I have accrued a fair amount of EMS 911 experience - working ~60 hours/week for two years after college. Are there any schools that particularly like EMS over other types of clinical experience? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do any other schools have programs like the PRIME program at UC schools?
Hello everyone, Currently waiting on post-II results, but until I get those, I am preparing for the worst which is a reapp. I applied to a few UC schools this year such as UCLA and it wasn't until I began filling out the secondary that I realized that they have a program called PRIME which focuses on working on training students not to just be physicians but leaders working towards addressing healthcare disparities in underserved communities in California and the US. Much of my volunteer... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Should I apply to these schools?
I was wondering if anyone has any advice regarding my application. I have been solidifying what schools to apply to in order to give myself the best chance but also taking into consideration that a program has pocket pet/small reptile/exotics electives or rotations since that is what I'm interested in. Schools: Kansas State, UGA, Ohio State, Oregon State, Louisiana State, UPEI-AVC, University of Illinois and Virginia Maryland (possibly Purdue and Mississippi). Do I stand a chance at these... Research or Retake Classes?
Hello everyone. I'm feeling a little defeated after receiving my 12th rejection of this cycle. I wasn't going to be surprised if I didn't get in, as I started the vet path late and don't have a lot of experience. However, the closest I got to any positive feedback from schools was a waitlist for an interview at OSU, which shocked me a bit to be honest. It kind of hurt to not even be granted an interview when I applied to so many schools. Obviously though, I want to gain as much experience as... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Some of these Naplex pass rates are awful
NABP recently published the Naplex pass rates from 2021-2023. How are some of these schools staying accredited with pass rates in the 50%-60%? It's remarkable seeing the yearly declining scores. https://nabp.pharmacy/wp-content/uploads/NAPLEX-Pass-Rates-2023.pdf (Source: Student Doctor Network)
