Any guides for reapplying?
I am still waiting to hear back from 3 schools, but just in case, I want to start thinking about re-applying. I had 8 II that so far have led to 4 WL, 1 R, and 3 pending. Waitlisted at one of my state schools and R at the other. I think a lot of it at this point had to do with my interview skills so I will definitely be re-evaluating that at this point. I also am considering re-taking my MCAT for a higher score, currently a 506 and 511. I'm not so sure what to do activities wise. Do I... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Taking easy class in summer
This summer, I'm planning to take Genetics, but I've been thinking about taking an intro Art class as well. This is a notoriously easy class, one that you can get an A+ without attending a single lecture. I was wondering whether any med schools might look at this unfavorably as some kind of GPA booster. The thing is, I'm not taking this just for a small GPA boost. That certainly doesn't hurt, but to use my university's on-campus gym (which is free) in the summer, you have to be registered as... NYITCOM-AR vs LMU-DCOM
Having a hard time weighing the pros and cons of these two schools.. I know that NYIT is pass/fail and DCOM is graded - but is there a catch? Are there advantages to having a graded system? Would appreciate some insight on the 2 schools. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do I have a chance to MD/PhD?
I’m an international student. I’ve applied to medical schools 1-2 years ago but withdrew my applications because I had no way of funding the education and I’m not eligible for big loans because of my status. I graduated from a UC in 2020 with 3.54 with a double major in neuroscience and anthropology. I have 3 years of work experience (1.5 years as a medical assistant and 1.5 as a clinical research assistant). I also have 3 years of bench research in undergrad that resulted in 2 journal... "Inorganic chemistry"
Hello! I'm having trouble figuring out if the 'Inorganic Chemistry' prerequisite required by many schools (Washington, Cornell, St. George, Dublin, Edinburgh), is referring to General Chemistry (i've taken both Gen Chem I and II) or a separate upper-level chemistry course. Though I could take Inorganic Chem as an upper-level course, I'd have to take on 6 courses this Fall term and I would rather not lol. So yeah does anyone know if Gen Chem I/II is enough or do I have to take a separate... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

WAMC (511/3.94) Virginia ORM Female
I need some advice after receiving my score! I took the exam for the first time on 1/26 and got a 511 (129/126/128/128), which is lower than what I was hoping for. I'm trying to gauge my chances at East Coast schools, especially the DMV area. I am Asian, so that might be another factor to consider. Is it worth retaking the exam during my last (and busy) semester of undergrad or do I have a good chance of getting accepted somewhere decent with my score? - I have a 3.94 overall GPA (likely...
