low gpa options
i have a 2.8 undergrad gpa and wanted to know what's the best way to repair my gpa to be competitive for D.O schools? I also have around 6Ws on my transcripts (600 hrs of ER volunteer hours ) a couple of pre-med clubs and haven't taken the mcat yet. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Personal Statement Feedback
Hi everyone, As I wait to hear back from schools, I want to get started on updating my app for a possible reapplication. I reached out to some users on the Personal Statement thread, but it seems most people on there are currently inactive or no longer reviewing personal statements. Due to this, I am hoping to find someone who is willing to give me some feedback on my personal statement. Please do let me know if you have any questions or need anything from me! Thank you so much in advance! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Clinical Hours: Continuous or Diverse?
Im a premed senior in highschool. I’ve been working for a skilled nursing facility for over a year and have ~600 hours. With clinical hours, specifically paid ones, do medical schools want to see diverse settings? By diverse I mean like maybe sticking with a job for a few years, or maybe staying for 6 months and then going to another position? I feel like consistently going to another position, like from skilled nursing CNA to ED, may show more diverse experience, but it also might make it... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Should I retake the MCAT in January/prep for a reapplication cycle?
I did a DO only cycle due to my stats (498-3.6). I have received 2 II’s up until now (unfortunately one was a post interview R and the other one I still have to attend). I really would obviously love to get in this cycle but I’m worried about my chances. I’m hoping I can get more movement in the spring from other schools, but I know this is not guaranteed (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How to put papers under-review in "Publications" Category?
I recently attended the AAMC Virtual Fair and the unanimous opinion among the representatives and medical students at the ~20 schools I chatted with said that papers that were submitted, under review or in-revision could (some even said should) be put under the "Publication" category. One medical student said they used this format and sent an update whenever the paper was accepted/published, also telling me to NOT put the journal name: Applicant name, et al. Title of Paper... Which campus to attend?
Hello everyone! I got accepted to BCOM and I'm looking for advice on which campus to attend because I have to make the decision before I get to hear back from the other schools that I'm interviewing/interviewed at. I am originally from Florida so attending the FL campus and staying home would be a dream come true. But if I accept, there is no financial aid available in the FL campus which means I'll have to take private loans for at least the first two years. From what I heard, there is no... Usc dpt 2023-2024
Hi, has anyone else also heard back from USC? I submitted my application at the end of August and heard back from them on 9/28. I'm still waiting to hear from other schools, so I would love to see if anyone else got accepted and is considering USC!! Also, feel free to ask anything related to the program or application here! Realistic expectations for IIs after Thanksgiving?
My application was complete mid-September for most schools. I am fortunate enough to have received 2 MD IIs from my state schools, but radio silence from the other 35 I applied to (except for 1 R). Is it reasonable to assume that some schools have yet to process/look at my app? Or should I expect nothing but a wave of rejections later, since we are approaching Thanksgiving? I know some schools send IIs in Dec. and Jan., so just wondering if I should start preparing for a reapplication if my... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Medical Schools that Have Issues with Community College Credits
Hi, I would like to know if there’s a list of med schools that do not accept or dislike community college class credits specifically for the first two years of college before transferring. I searched MSAR but there is no filter option and I can’t find information on each school’s profile about their preferences. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Fall semester grades
I’m a current applicant and a senior in college. I’m on track to have a 4.0 this semester so I really want to tell schools especially since I have a rough sophomore year. How do I update schools about this? I know some schools don’t allow updates but it’s my grades so I’m not sure if it’s the same thing? Anyone have any insight on this? Medical schools with different/flexible curriculum
Can those of you who know of med schools with more customizable curriculums respond with the name(s) of the schools. I'm a pre-med (MD PhD) student looking to do research to create more effective and holistic mental health treatment, and hopefully eventually start my own company to proliferate these treatments. I am more interested in the neuroscience research/pharmaceutical/business side, yet I am certain that I need an MD to have the depth of knowledge and sway I need to make progress...
