California DPT 2023-2024
Hi guys! Just thought I would start a thread for those who are applying to DPT programs in California. Feel free to share your stats, where you applied, or if you've heard anything from those schools!
I applied to CSUN, CSULB, Chapman, MSMU, USAHS, Western, WCU, and LLU! So far, I just completed a virtual interview with USAHS and have an upcoming interview with LLU and an upcoming virtual interview with WCU.

What are my chances of not getting in with 9II's?
Hey all. I know that the general rule is to always be prepared to reapply when you have no A in hand, and that all schools have a different post II acceptance rate. As of right now, I have been very fortunate to have received 9 II's, ranging from T10 to T100’s. However, I just got waitlisted from one of the T100's where I had the best chance of getting in due to how many people they take in-state after the interview. Should I send an update letter?
Without totally doxxing myself, I work a healthcare job for an organization and am contracted with what we will call a client. My state's professional organization awarded my organization and the client an award, but it was really because of the work I do. Request for earlier interview?
I've had a few interviews now where they are only scheduling months out (my most recent one, the earliest available is all the way in April). Then after, I find out some people were able to schedule significantly earlier. Would it be too much to email admissions and ask them if I could change it if any earlier slots come up? Or should I just leave it be. I just feel like I'll be at a major disadvantage especially since all these schools are rolling admissions and have already released a lot...

HELP: dental schools with specific research focus?
As I've begun to brainstorm for applying next cycle, one of the things on my wishlist has been finding schools with faculty who do research in tissue engineering and/or focus on translational research in this area.

Virtual shadowing programs offered by medical schools ?
How is "Student Evaluation of Real-Time Virtual Immersive Clinical Experience" offered by UMSOM compared to other virtual shadow programs out there ? There are conflicting opinions regarding the value of virtual shadow but wondering if this program differs and can be used for doctor shadowing experience?

Tons of ignored content? No notifications
Hi, on the MD schools specific page I noticed in missing a ton of schools and at not getting notifications for schools I watched. It seems like there's some kind of ignored content filter on...was I banned? How do I get these schools and notifications to start popping up again without clicking "see ignored content" every time? Schools that have low post-II acceptance rates- what are they looking for in the interview?
So, I have a few upcoming interviews with schools that have post-II acceptance rates of 30% or lower. I assume these schools only interview applicants who look great on paper, and I can hardly believe that >70% of the interviewees will bomb their interview or demonstrate poor fit. So there must be a number of high-stat applicants with good ECs and narratives who don't get selected. Do some interviewees never have a shot in the first place? Giving Up
