Geographic Comparison of Dietary Intake and Quality in Manitoba Adolescents
Conclusions: Most adolescents in the study are at nutritional risk; however, there are additional vulnerabilities for those in rural and northern communities. Dietitians can use results to advocate for and plan interventions to improve adolescent nutrition.PMID:38456655 | DOI:10.3148/cjdpr-2024-004 (Source: Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice and Research)

Diabetes risk reduction diet and colorectal cancer risk
Conclusion A higher adherence to a DRRD was inversely associated with CRC risk. Impact Given the high incidence and mortality rates of CRC, adherence to a DRRD can have relevant prevention and public health implications.PMID:38451185 | DOI:10.1158/1055-9965.EPI-23-1400 (Source: Cancer Control)

Fat intake modifies association between cigarette smoking and lung cancer in a prospective cohort study: A potential explanation for the lung cancer paradox
CONCLUSIONS: The present study showed that lung cancer risk associated with both the status and accumulated amount of cigarette smoking was remarkably stronger in individuals with high intakes of fat, particularly saturated fat. However, this interaction was not statistically significant and thus warrants further investigations in other studies.PMID:38447490 | DOI:10.1016/j.clnu.2024.02.021 (Source: Clinical Prostate Cancer)
