ConclusionsThese guidelines inform on the contemporary approach to patients with suspected stroke in the pre‐hospital setting. Further studies, preferably randomized controlled trials, are required to examine the impact of particular interventions on quality parameters and outcome.

Conclusion: Although traditional risk factors are associated with stroke in young, unfavorable behavioral pattern such as alcohol abuse may cause and promote development stroke in young.

Patterns of transcranial doppler flow velocities in recent ischemic stroke patients
Conclusion: Intracranial flow velocity abnormalities are frequent among Indian stroke population. Further studies are needed to characterize these abnormalities fully.

ABSTRACT Neurological disorders account for the most Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALY's) -of the Global Burden of Disease (10%). More than half of neurological DALY's result from the combination of stroke (42%) and dementia (10%). The two pose risk for each other and share the same predisposing factors. Plasma biomarkers as potential predictors of functional dependence in daily life activities after ischemic stroke: A single center study
Conclusion: Plasma levels of BDNF, PDGF-AA, and PDGF-AB/BB are independent predictors for functional dependency in daily life activities and may be useful prognostic markers in the evaluation of ischemic stroke patients.

Systematic development of structured semi-interactive stroke prevention package for secondary stroke prevention

The quality of life of stroke survivors in the Indian setting: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion: Assessment of the quality of life among stroke survivors is a crucial step to predict the illness' imposed burden and ascertain the effectiveness of the treatment. The present meta-analysis elucidates the aggregate estimates of quality of life and contributes to the research on the quality of life following a stroke in an Indian context.

Effectiveness of mirror therapy on lower extremity motor recovery, balance and mobility in patients with acute stroke: A randomized sham-controlled pilot trial
Conclusion: Administration of mirror therapy early after stroke is not superior to conventional treatment in improving lower limb motor recovery and balance, except for improvement in mobility.
