Prevalence and factors influencing the occurrence of spasticity in stroke patients: a retrospective study
CONCLUSION: Most stroke patients do not have spasticity, especially the elderly, patients with ischemic stroke, and those with mild functional impairment, suggesting that not all upper motor nerve injuries lead to increased muscle tension. For young individuals, patients with hemorrhagic stroke, and those with moderate to severe functional impairment, close follow-up is necessary to identify the occurrence of spasticity early on and then formulate corresponding rehabilitation strategies for prompt intervention.PMID:36153827 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2022.2127249

Preexisting dual antiplatelet treatment increases the risk of post-thrombolysis intracranial hemorrhage in Chinese stroke patients.

Antithrombotic therapy for ischaemic stroke patients with AF/RHD in West China daily practice.

Atherosclerotic plaque burden of middle cerebral artery and extracranial carotid artery characterized by MRI in patients with acute ischemic stroke in China: association and clinical relevance.
CONCLUSION: Greater atherosclerotic plaque burden and a closer association with stroke severity were found for the MCA as compared to the ipsilateral ECA. Predictors of dependence after MCA ischemic stroke submitted to thrombolysis.
DISCUSSION: .Dependence is an important indicator of the efficacy of stroke care. Besides it was not possible to evaluate rehabilitation, this is the first study on predictors of post-stroke dependence that focus exclusively on patients with first-ever MCA IS submitted to IVT. Mild focal hypothermia regulates the dynamic polarization of microglia after ischemic stroke in mice.
Conclusions Hypothermia is protective following ischemic stroke and can reduce brain tissue loss. Moreover, hypothermia shifts the polarization of microglia from the M1 to the M2 phenotype in the ischemic mice brain. Effect of renal function on association between uric acid and prognosis in acute ischemic stroke patients with elevated systolic blood pressure.
CONCLUSION: The present study suggests that high serum uric acid concentration is associated with better prognosis in ischemic stroke patients with normal renal function, but not in those with abnormal renal function. The establishment of causality between increased uric acid levels and better stroke prognosis needs more suitably designed randomized clinical trials. Relationship between ischemic stroke locations, etiology subtypes, neurological outcomes, and autonomic cardiac function.
