Argatroban plus aspirin versus aspirin in acute ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSION: Argatroban is effective and safe for the treatment of moderate AIS with similar efficacy to high-dose aspirin in the acute phase of AIS, although no additional benefit on short-term outcome was observed. Percutaneous mastoid electrical stimulator alleviates autonomic dysfunction in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Predictors of mortality and recurrent stroke within five years of intracerebral hemorrhage.

The relationship between brain microbleeds and homeostatic markers in the treatment of ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSION: Pathogenesis of AF is involved abnormal changes of hemostasis, endothelial dysfunction, antithrombotic state and inflammation. The homeostatic markers, which play role in these pathways, and the presence of BMBs could use to form a prognostic clinic assessment tool to predict bleeding risk. Exposure to female estrous is beneficial for male mice against transient ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSION: Exposure to female estrous reduces mortality and improves functional recovery in MCAO male mice. The study provides the first evidence to support the importance of female interaction to male stroke rehabilitation. Statin effects on post-stroke epilepsy and mortality - Taiwan population-based study.
Conclusion: Statins have a modest but non-significant effect in preventing post-apoplectic epilepsy in Taiwan. Statins decrease post-stroke mortality only in men. Further studies are needed to depict their exact roles in these issues. PMID: 32122287 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Predictors, causes and outcome of 30-day readmission among acute ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Older age, stroke severity, prior stroke, diabetes, indwelling urinary catheter and admission to non-neurology floor during index admission were associated with 30-day readmission. 30-readmission after AIS increased hospitalization expenses, LOS and in-hospital mortality. Chlorpromazine and promethazine reduces Brain injury through RIP1-RIP3 regulated activation of NLRP3 inflammasome following ischemic stroke
Conclusion: These findings suggest that the anti-inflammatory effect of C + P may be dependent on drug-induced hypothermia and regulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome via the RIP1/RIP3 complex. Risk factors associated with recurrence of ischemic stroke after intracranial stenting in china: a case-control study
Conclusions: Recurrence of ischemic stroke after intracranial stenting may be associated with elderly age, non-smoking, and Mori C type lesion.
