Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Is Predominantly Associated With Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Events in Patients With Evidence of Coronary Atherosclerosis: The Western Denmark Heart Registry
CONCLUSIONS: LDL-C appears to be almost exclusively associated with ASCVD events over ≈5 years of follow-up in middle-aged individuals with versus without evidence of coronary atherosclerosis. This information is valuable for individualized risk assessment among middle-aged people with or without coronary atherosclerosis.PMID:36621817 | DOI:10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.122.061010

Intake of marine and plant-derived n-3 fatty acids and development of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease in the Danish Diet, Cancer and Health cohort
CONCLUSIONS: A high intake of marine n-3 PUFA was associated with a lower risk of total ASCVD and acute major ischemic events, whereas no association could be demonstrated for the plant-derived ALA.PMID:36592188 | DOI:10.1007/s00394-022-03081-w

Impact of stroke history on the risk of recurrent hip fracture or major osteoporotic fractures among patients with incident hip fracture. A nationwide cohort study
In conclusion, stroke history was associated with slightly higher risk of recurrent fracture among patients with first-time hip fracture in the overall analysis, although the confidence interval included a null result. The association was modified by baseline mobility: Pati ents with stroke history and good mobility had a markedly higher risk, whereas patients with stroke and poor mobility did not. This article is protected by copyright.
