Po-01-087 a rare case of bi-atrial fdg-uptake: presenting as new onset atrial fibrillation
Isolated atrial myocarditis is rare, with presenting symptoms that are non-specific. Prior reports have suggested association with atrial arrythmias and increased risk of stroke due to atrial dysfunction. Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-positron emission tomography (PET) CT scan is considered as a goal standard test for the diagnosis of myocarditis.

Po-05-185 prediction and risk of atrial fibrillation in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: a danish nationwide cohort study
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) can be associated with serious complications such as heart failure, atrial fibrillation (AF) and sudden cardiac death. The treatment of AF in HCM patients can be challenging since AF often aggravates symptoms and increases the risk of stroke. Little is known on which factors contribute to the development of AF in these patients.

Air pollution and stroke; effect modification by sociodemographic and environmental factors. A cohort study from Denmark
CONCLUSION: The associations between air pollution and risk of stroke was stronger among individuals of lower socioeconomic status or with pre-existing comorbid conditions. Absolute risk estimates were better suited to identify such effect modification.PMID:37121155 | DOI:10.1016/j.ijheh.2023.114165

The Danish landscape of providing support for caregivers of people with potentially life-threatening disease: A cross-sectional study among representatives of health services in Danish municipalities and hospitals
CONCLUSIONS: Disparities and significant differences across diagnoses exist in the identification of caregivers and the provision of support initiatives. Support initiatives involving caregivers primarily targeted patients. Future studies should investigate how caregivers' needs can be met across different diagnoses and healthcare settings and investigate potential changes in caregivers' needs during disease trajectories. In clinical practice, identification of vulnerable caregivers should be a major focus, and disease-specific clinical guidelines may be required to ensure sufficient support for caregivers.PMID:37026179 | ...

Impact of prestroke physical activity and citalopram treatment on poststroke depressive symptoms: a secondary analysis of data from the TALOS randomised controlled trial in Denmark
Conclusions A higher prestroke physical activity level was associated with fewer depressive symptoms 1 and 6 months after stroke. Citalopram treatment did not seem to modify this association. Trial registration numbers NCT01937182 (ClinicalTrials.gov) and 2013-002253-30 (EUDRACT).
