Quantification of retinal ganglion cell loss in patients with homonymous visual field defect due to stroke
ConclusionsReduction of SD-OCT parameters occurs following both ischaemic and haemorrhagic occipital stroke, but it is larger when the injury extends to parietal territories and increases as time since stroke increases. The size of visual field defect is unrelated to SD-OCT measurements. Macular GCC thinning appeared to be more sensitive than pRNFL in detecting retrograde retinal ganglion cell degeneration and its retinotopic pattern in stroke.

Intracranial Hemorrhage as a Marker for Mycotic Aneurysm in Patients With Infective Endocarditis
Discussion Patients with left-sided and right-sided endocarditis with PFO and ICH on CNS imaging were more likely to have mycotic aneurysms detected through DSA than similar patients without ICH. Routine DSA screening for mycotic aneurysms may not be required in patients with endocarditis undergoing evaluation for valve surgery who present without ICH on CNS imaging.

Prognostic significance of serum NLRC4 in patients with acute supratentorial intracerebral hemorrhage: A prospective longitudinal cohort study
ConclusionsMarkedly raised serum NLRC4 levels following ICH, in close relation to illness severity, are independently associated with poor prognosis. Such results are indicative of the notion that determination of serum NLRC4 may aid in severity assessment and prediction of functional outcome of ICH patients.

The effect of robot-assisted walking in different modalities on cardiorespiratory responses and energy consumption in patients with subacute stroke
DISCUSSION: By decreasing GF and BWS values during robot-assisted walking, adequate cardio-metabolic and energy response in both subacute stroke patients and healthy individuals could be achieved. Clustering and prediction of long-term functional recovery patterns in first-time stroke patients
ConclusionsThe longitudinal, multi-dimensional, functional assessment data of first-time stroke patients were successfully clustered, and the prediction models showed relatively good accuracies. Early identification and prediction of long-term functional outcomes will help clinicians develop customized treatment strategies.
