Outcome of COVID-19 & #8211;Associated Acute Stroke: A Study from South India
Conclusion: Poor outcomes were relatively higher among acute stroke patients with concomitant COVID-19 infection. In the present study, we established the independent predictors of poor outcome to be onset of COVID-19 symptoms (<5 days) and elevated levels of CRP, D-dimer, interleukin-6, ferritin, and Ct value ≤25 in acute stroke.

Liver fibrosis-4 score predicts outcome of patients with ischemic stroke undergoing intravenous thrombolysis
Some evidence suggests a possible influence of liver disease on stroke prognosis. We investigated the association between fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) score, a marker of liver disease, and the 3-month outcome in patients with ischemic stroke undergoing intravenous thrombolysis. We also evaluated the rate of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage after thrombolysis. Neuromonitoring in Children with Cerebrovascular Disorders
ConclusionsOur understanding of pediatric cerebrovascular disorders has increased dramatically over the past several years, in part due to advances in the neuromonitoring modalities that allow us to better understand these conditions. We are now poised, as a field, to take advantage of advances in neuromonitoring capabilities to determine how best to manage and treat acute cerebrovascular disorders in children.

Comparison of a direct aspiration first pass technique vs. stent retriever thrombectomy for the treatment of acute large vessel occlusion stroke in the anterior circulation with atrial fibrillation
ConclusionsCompared with SRT, ADAPT has similar recanalization rate for the treatment of acute large vessel occlusion stroke in the anterior circulation with atrial fibrillation. However, ADAPT might be more effective in terms of shorter puncture to recanalization time and higher first pass success recanalization rate. Further studies are needed for confirming our results.

Prognostic models for survival and consciousness in patients with primary brainstem hemorrhage
ConclusionIn patients with PBSH, conscious state upon admission, coagulation function, hematoma volume, hematoma location, and therapeutic strategy were significantly associated with prognosis. Stereotactic aspiration could significantly reduce the 30-day mortality rate.

Changes in Adhesion and the Expression of Adhesion Molecules in PBMCs after Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: Relation to Cerebral Vasospasm
In conclusion, our results confirm that after aSAH, monocyte count and adhesion of PBMCs increase, especially in patients with VSP, and that the expression of several adhesion molecules is altered. These observations can help predict VSP and to improve the treatment of this pathology.

ConclusionBased on the current literature, patients with ischemic stroke with higher CR proxies may have a lower risk of adverse outcomes.
