AHNAK2 promotes the progression of differentiated thyroid cancer through PI3K/AKT signaling pathway
CONCLUSION: Furthermore, the protein levels of phospho-PI3 Kinase p85 and phospho-AKT were down-regulated in the transfected TC cell. Our study results indicate that AHNAK2 may promote metastasis and proliferation of thyroid cancer through PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Thus, AHNAK2 may be used as a candidate marker for TC diagnosis and treatment.PMID:36089788 | DOI:10.2174/1568009622666220908092506

A-Kinase Interacting Protein 1 Knockdown Restores Chemosensitivity via Inactivating PI3K/AKT and β-Catenin Pathways in Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma
ConclusionAKIP1 knockdown decreases cell survival and invasion while promoting sensitivity to doxorubicin via inactivating PI3K/AKT and β-catenin pathways in ATC.

HMGN4 plays a key role in STAT3-mediate oncogenesis of triple-negative breast cancer
In this study, we discovered for the first time that HMGN4 was highly expressed in human triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), based on the analysis of the TCGA database. Moreover, we found that HMGN4 controlled the proliferation of human TNBC cells both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, the positive correlation occurred between HMGN4 and STAT3 downstream genes while HMGN4 played an indispensable role in constitutively active STAT3 (STAT3C) induced colony formation. Interestingly, we reported that STAT3 regulated HMGN4 transcription as its transcriptional factor by ChIP and HMGN4 promoter-luc assays. That is to say, t...

Circular RNA VANGL1 Facilitates Migration and Invasion of Papillary Thyroid Cancer by Modulating the miR-194/ZEB1/EMT Axis
J Oncol. 2022 Mar 8;2022:4818651. doi: 10.1155/2022/4818651. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTCircular RNAs (circRNAs) are often aberrantly expressed in human tumors and also serve a critical regulatory role in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). The aim of this study is to investigate the expression pattern and biological role of circVANGL1 in PTC. The results revealed that circVANGL1 was significantly upregulated in human PTC samples. In addition, high circVANGL1 expression was closely associated with adverse clinical parameters of PTC patients. Our in vitro experiments further indicated that the knockdown of circVANGL1 using siRNA ...

Exosome-mediated delivery of SCD-1 siRNA promoted the death of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma cells via regulating ROS level
ConclusionsExosomes loaded SCD-1 siRNA inhibited ATC cellular proliferation and promoted cellular apoptosis, and the mechanisms involved maybe the regulation of fatty acids metabolism and ROS level. Our study provides a promising therapeutic strategy for ATC.
