LINC00152 knockdown suppresses tumorigenesis in non-small cell lung cancer via sponging miR-16-5p
CONCLUSIONS: The findings of the present study demonstrated that LINC00152-silencing suppressed NSCLC tumorigenesis via regulating the miR-16-5p/BCL2L2 axis. Therefore, linc00152 has the potential as a molecular marker and may be a potential target for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.PMID:35399229 | PMC:PMC8987817 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-22-59

Nanog suppression enhanced the chemosensitivity of human non-small-cell lung cancer cells to Cisplatin and inhibited cell migration
In conclusion, the findings of the current study demonstrated that silencing Nanog combined with Cisplatin could be a potent treatment approach for lung cancer patients.PMID:35398618 | DOI:10.1016/j.prp.2022.153869

BAP31 Regulates Wnt Signaling to Modulate Cell Migration in Lung Cancer
Front Oncol. 2022 Mar 10;12:859195. doi: 10.3389/fonc.2022.859195. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTB-cell receptor-associated protein 31 (BAP31) has been shown to overexpress in a wide range type of cancers. The present study aims to investigate the role of BAP31 on migration in lung cancer. Results showed that the migration of BAP31 knockdown cells was weaken than the control cells. Applying TGFβ to treat BAP31 knockdown cells could reduce cell migration. The enhancement on proliferation by TGFβ treatment was downregulated after BAP31 knockdown. The cell death and G0/G1 phase arrest was increased in the cells with TGFβ and BA...

Identification of potential circular RNA biomarkers in lung adenocarcinoma: A bioinformatics analysis and retrospective clinical study
Oncol Lett. 2022 May;23(5):144. doi: 10.3892/ol.2022.13264. Epub 2022 Mar 11.ABSTRACTNon-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-associated mortality. Lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) is the most prevalent pathological subtype of NSCLC and accounts for ~40% of all lung cancer mortalities. There remains an urgent demand for the identification of novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and development of therapeutic strategies for LAC. In the present study, the profiles of the differentially-expressed circular RNAs (circRNAs) in LAC tissues compared with those in their corresponding non-cancerous tissues we...

Identification and validation of Osteopontin and receptor for hyaluronic acid-mediated motility (RHAMM, CD168) for potential immunotherapeutic significance of in lung squamous cell carcinoma
CONCLUSIONS: By using integrated bioinformatics, we have identified CD168 and OPN as DEGs with poor prognosis in LUSC and have validated their interaction in the ECM receptor pathway. These genes could be potential diagnostic and therapeutic targets for LUSC patients undergoing immunotherapy.PMID:35334357 | DOI:10.1016/j.intimp.2022.108715

PACER lncRNA regulates COX-2 expression in lung cancer cells
Oncotarget. 2022 Feb 4;13:291-306. doi: 10.18632/oncotarget.28190. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTLong noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are known to regulate gene expression; however, in many cases, the mechanism of this regulation is unknown. One novel lncRNA relevant to inflammation and arachidonic acid (AA) metabolism is the p50-associated COX-2 extragenic RNA (PACER). We focused our research on the regulation of PACER in lung cancer. While the function of PACER is not entirely understood, PACER is known to play a role in inflammation-associated conditions. Our data suggest that PACER is critically involved in COX-2 transcription and...
