Long non-coding RNA LUCAT1 regulates the RAS pathway to promote the proliferation and invasion of malignant glioma cells through ABCB1
In this study, the role of lung cancer associated transcript 1 (lncRNA LUCAT 1) in glioma occurrence and development, as well as its possible regulatory mechanism, was explored. We utilized the gene chip technology in the preliminary experiment, and based on the experiment results, selected LUCAT1(NONHSAT102745), which was significantly upregulated in glioma, and ATP-binding cassette Subfamily B member l (ABCB1), which was significantly down-regulated in co-expression analysis, for study. Next, the expression of LUCAT1 and ABCB1 in cells and tissues was immediately evaluated. Subsequently, the cells were transfected wi...

Down-regulating Nrf2 by tangeretin reverses multiple drug resistance to both chemotherapy and EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors in lung cancer
In this study, we firstly proved that the levels of ROS and Nrf2 were remarkably up-regulated in both H1975 (Gefitinib-resistant lung cancer cells with T790M) and A549/T (paclitaxel-resistant) cells, which is consistent with the clinical database analysis results of lung cancer patients that Nrf2 expression level is negatively related to survival rate. Nrf2 Knockdown with siRNA or tangeretin (TG, a flavonoid isolated from citrus peels) inhibited the MDR cell growth by suppressing the Nrf2 pathway, and efficiently enhanced the anti-tumor effects of paclitaxel and AZD9291 (the third generation of TKI) in A549/T or H1975, res...

Reprogramming of cancer-associated fibroblasts by apoptotic cancer cells inhibits lung metastasis via Notch1-WISP-1 signaling
Cell Mol Immunol. 2022 Oct 14. doi: 10.1038/s41423-022-00930-w. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe interplay between apoptotic cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment modulates cancer progression and metastasis. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) play a crucial role in promoting these events through paracrine communication. Here, we demonstrate that conditioned medium (CM) from lung CAFs exposed to apoptotic cancer cells suppresses TGF-β1-induced migration and invasion of cancer cells and CAFs. Direct exposure of CAFs to apoptotic 344SQ cells (ApoSQ) inhibited CAF migration and invasion and the expression of CAF acti...

KIF4A knockdown inhibits tumor progression and promotes chemo-sensitivity via induction of P21 in lung cancer cells
In conclusion, our results demonstrate that KIF4A inhibition sensitizes A549 cells to doxorubicin by targeting p21 and PI3K/AKT pathway, indicating a significant role for KIF4A in lung cancer chemotherapy.PMID:36217900 | DOI:10.1111/cbdd.14153

Exosomal FZD10 derived from non-small cell lung cancer cells promotes angiogenesis of human umbilical venous endothelial cells < em > in vitro < /em >
CONCLUSION: Exosomal FZD10 derived from NSCLC cells promotes HUVEC angiogenesis in vitro, the mechanism of which may involve the activation of PI3K and Erk1/2 signaling pathways.PMID:36210708 | PMC:PMC9550558 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2022.09.11
