Oxidative stress in Arthrospira platensis by two organophosphate pesticides
In this study, various Chlorpyrifos (0-150 µg mL-1) and Dimethoate (0-250 µg mL-1) concentrations were added to the culture medium in laboratory to evaulate growth rate, chlorophyll-a content and antioxidant parameters of A. platensis. Optical Density (OD560) and chlorophyll-a decreased compared to the control for seven days in both pesticide applications. Fraxin in Combination with Dexamethasone Attenuates LPS-Induced Liver and Heart Injury and Their Anticytokine Activity in Mice
CONCLUSIONS: All interventions used in this study significantly reduced interleukin-8 (IL-8) levels and reduced LPS-induced liver and cardiac damage. The combination (FD) did not result in an evident superiority of either agent. Oyster (Crassostrea gigas) ferritin relieves lead-induced liver oxidative damage via regulating the mitophagy
This study aimed to investigate how oyster ferritin (GF1) attenuates lead-induced oxidative damage to the liver in vitro and in vivo. Animal experiments have confirmed that lead exposure can lead to oxidative damage and lipid peroxidation of the liver, and ferritin can regulate the activity of antioxidant enzymes and alleviate pathological changes in the liver.
