Parvovirus in Kidney Transplant Recipients: A Single-Center Experience
CONCLUSIONS: Parvovirus B19 is a relatively underreported disease in renal transplant recipients, with patients presenting with anemia and the disease causing transient graft dysfunction. Parvovirus B19 infection responds well to a decrease in immunosuppression and intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.PMID:38140930 | DOI:10.6002/ect.2023.0127 (Source: Experimental and Clinical Transplantation : official journal of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation)

Design Rules for the Sequestration of Viruses into Polypeptide Complex Coacervates
Biomacromolecules. 2023 Dec 16. doi: 10.1021/acs.biomac.3c00938. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTEncapsulation is a strategy that has been used to facilitate the delivery and increase the stability of proteins and viruses. Here, we investigate the encapsulation of viruses via complex coacervation, which is a liquid-liquid phase separation resulting from the complexation of oppositely charged polymers. In particular, we utilized polypeptide-based coacervates and explored the effects of peptide chemistry, chain length, charge patterning, and hydrophobicity to better understand the effects of the coacervating polypeptides on vi...
