Workers Comp Lawyer requesting opinion on surveillance footage.
I got a letter from a workers comp attorney with a usb stick of surveillance footage of a patient I am a secondary treater on for pain management.
They patient has a upper extremity issue and is seen, mowing the lawn, using a blower and lawnmower.
The requested I offer an opinion on the footage and whether it changes my recommendation.

I honestly wish I never got into FM... clinic is a f*cking joke; literally every other specialty thinks you are a joke and just dumps crap on you.
Gen surg does a surgery and pnt hasn't had a BM in a week? f/u with pcp
pnt doesn't know what meds they were d/c home with for a life threatening injury? np, the pcp will run the gauntlet

Cleaning up pain management
Out and practising full range of pain management. The practice Im in refuses for me to screen patients so you never know what are walking into, takes all payers and ALL referrals.
Few things that are quite bothersome but near constant based on fellow grads experiences and the practices I worked or had visited.

Question about what can one do as an FM asides from primary care?
Hi, I am wondering could a FM doctor essentially function as a psychiatrist? Not market oneself as a psychiatrist, but as a FM providing only psychiatry care comparable to that of a Psychiatrist?
Also how possible is it to do pain management as a FM doctor? Is it hard to get into a pain fellowship?
Also, how well does addiction medicine pay?
