Transforming properties of MET receptor exon 14 skipping can be recapitulated by loss of the CBL ubiquitin ligase binding site
While 3% of lung cancers harbor mutations in exon 14 (Ex14) of the MET receptor, its oncogenic capabilities remain elusive, in particular the involvement of several regulatory sites in the juxtamembrane domain. The MET Y1003F mutation fully recapitulates the responses induced by MET exon 14 skipping, suggesting that loss of the CBL ubiquitin ligase binding site is the main factor in the cellular transformation induced by MET Ex14 mutations. MET is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is activated in many cancers through various mechanisms. MET exon 14 (Ex14) skipping occurs in 3% of non-small cell lung tumors. However, the cont...

Establishment of a TNFRSF11B knock-out human induced pluripotent stem cell line (KSCBi002-B-2) via CRISPR/Cas9 system
In this report, we generated a biallelic knock-out hiPSC line for the TNFRSF11B gene via CRISPR/Cas9. When TNFRSF11B Knock-out hiPSCs were differentiated into mesenchymal progenitor cells (MPCs), the expression level of OPG was significantly decreased compared to normal hiPSC-derived MPCs. This knock-out hiPSCs will provide a chance to study Paget disease of bone 5 (juvenile Paget disease).PMID:37481965 | DOI:10.1016/j.scr.2023.103167 (Source: Cell Research)

Outcomes and prognostic factors of surgically treated extramammary Paget's disease of the vulva
CONCLUSION: Positive surgical margin is a frequent finding in the patients with vulvar EMPD, but disease recurrence is not related with surgical margin status. Since EMPD is a slow growing tumor, a surveillance period longer than 5 years is required.PMID:37477099 | DOI:10.3802/jgo.2023.34.e76 (Source: Journal of Gynecologic Oncology)
