An Individual Barrier Enclosure Actively Removing Aerosols for Airborne Isolation: A Vacuum Tent
CONCLUSIONS: The vacuum tent effectively minimized aerosol dispersion. Its continuous suction system set at a high suction flow was crucial to avoid the spread of aerosol particles and CO2 rebreathing.PMID:38538026 | DOI:10.4187/respcare.11094 (Source: Respiratory Care)

Reported maternal satisfaction following an obstetric anal sphincter injury a decade after delivery
Currently, the long-term psychological consequences of sustaining an obstetric anal sphincter injury (OASI) are unknown. Furthermore, parsing out the unique effect of an OASI on the maternal childbirth experience is challenging because these injuries often occur within the broader physical trauma of a vaginal birth, an operative vaginal delivery (OVD), or an episiotomy. Timing of induction of labor in suspected macrosomia: retrospective cohort study, systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Timing of IOL in patients with suspected macrosomia significantly impacts perinatal adverse outcomes. IOL has no impact on rates of SD but does increase CD when considered irrespective of gestational age, but it may decrease the risk of SD without increasing the risk of other adverse maternal outcomes, in particular cesarean section when performed before 40+0 WG.
