Labor induction at 41+0 gestational weeks or expectant management for the nulliparous woman: The Finnish randomized controlled multicenter trial
ConclusionsOffering labor induction to nulliparous women at 41+0 gestational weeks may decrease the probability of operative delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal weight ≥4000 g. However, this study was underpowered to affirm the trends of rising rates of CS and adverse neonatal outcomes in the expectant management group. Thus, expectant management could remain an option for some, as one in two women with expectant management had a spontaneous onset of labor. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Effect of gestational weight gain in a cohort of pregnancy women with obesity operated and not operated for bariatric surgery
CONCLUSIONS: insufficient and excessive weight gain worsens perinatal outcomes. Adequate weight gain does not increase complications and produces some benefits.PMID:38095073 | DOI:10.20960/nh.04639 (Source: Nutricion Hospitalaria)

Analysis of Perinatal Outcome of Forceps Delivery and Risk Factors of Postpartum Hemorrhage
CONCLUSION: The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in the forceps assisted delivery group is higher, with occipital posterior position, abnormal coagulation function, soft birth canal tear, and lateral perineal incision being high-risk factors for postpartum hemorrhage in forceps assisted delivery. We need to strengthen prevention and control measures to improve the quality of the perinatal period. This study has guiding significance for early identification of high-risk factors for postpartum hemorrhage, strengthening pre pregnancy knowledge education, strengthening labor process monitoring, actively correcting fetal orie...
