Epidemiological survey and risk factor analysis of high-risk human papillomavirus in women in Longgang District, Shenzhen
CONCLUSION: The common HPV infection types among women in Longgang district were mainly 52, 16, 58, 53, and 51, with a predominance of a single type of infection. The positive rate and pathogenicity of HPV 52 were higher than HPV 16. Women aged 30-60 years should be included in priority screening for cervical lesions. The six factors of miscarriage, number of sexual partners, cervicitis, vaginitis, staying up late, and mental status were risk factors for HPV infection occurrence.PMID:38581329 (Source: Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine)

The Influence of CD40/CD40L, MMP2/MMP9 on Uterine Artery Blood Flow and Their Expression in Recurrent Miscarriage
CONCLUSION: Serum levels of sCD40L, MMP2, and MMP9, along with non-invasive and easily accessible indicators such as PI and RI in uterine artery blood flow measured by ultrasound, emerge as potential predictive markers for the outcome of recurrent miscarriage pregnancies. Moreover, these indicators can serve as valuable evaluation markers in clinical practice, facilitating the monitoring of treatment effectiveness for recurrent miscarriage.PMID:38581334 (Source: Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine)

Do miscarriage care practice recommendations align with individuals ’ needs?: a scoping review
Miscarriage is a common experience; yet individuals often have negative experiences when receiving miscarriage care, signaling a gap in the quality of miscarriage care. We explore the literature on individuals ’ experiences with miscarriage care across a variety of dimensions and assess how these experiences align with practice recommendations. Pregnancy and fetal outcomes following paternal exposure to glatiramer acetate
CONCLUSIONS: This study did not indicate an increase in the rate of adverse pregnancy and fetal outcomes after paternal exposure to GA. These results provide additional information regarding pregnancy outcomes following paternal exposure to GA for healthcare professionals, male patients and their female partners who are considering pregnancy while their male partner is using GA.PMID:38577712 | DOI:10.1080/03007995.2024.2337669 (Source: Current Medical Research and Opinion)

Enhancing endometrial receptivity: the roles of human chorionic gonadotropin in autophagy and apoptosis regulation in endometrial stromal cells
This study aimed to examine the impact of hCG on endometrial receptivity and its underlying mechanisms. An exploratory study was designed, and endometrial samples were obtained from women diagnosed with simple tubal infertility or male factor infertile (n = 12) and recurrent implantation failure (RIF, n = 10). Using reverse transcription-quantitative PCR and western blotting, luteinizing hormone (LH)/hCG receptor (LHCGR) levels and autophagy were detected in the endometrial tissues. Subsequently, primary endometrial stromal cells (ESCs) were isolated from these control groups and treated with hCG to examine the presence of...

Reproductive outcomes of dual trigger therapy with GnRH agonist and hCG versus hCG trigger in women with diminished ovarian reserve: a retrospective study
CONCLUSIONS: Dual triggering of final oocyte maturation with hCG combined with GnRHa can significantly increase the number of oocytes retrieved in patients with DOR but has no improvement effect on the implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate or LBR of fresh cycles or on the CLBR.PMID:38566172 | DOI:10.1186/s12958-024-01211-z (Source: Reproductive Biology)

Testicular sperm retrieval for intracytoplasmic sperm injection: when to consider it after unsuccessful intracytoplasmic sperm injection with ejaculated sperm?
ConclusionsTMS and DFI were found to be significant predictors of live birth outcomes in couples with oligozoospermic male partners undergoing T-ICSI. These findings may help clinicians tailor treatment strategies for this specific patient population. (Source: Andrology)
