San Jose Anesthesiology Upheaval (CEP takeover). Who has the real scoop?
Gaswork presently has four separate ads for anesthesiologists in San Jose, all through CEP.
I agreed to work some locum shifts for them. It has sucked so far, but maybe that's not all CEP's fault.
Word is that CEP just won the bid for three hospitals in San Jose. Where I am (Regional), not a single doc from the old group joined on with CEP. The transition has been about as bad as you might fear.
Anyone care to defend CEP? No way will they last if they are this incompetent...

Economics of outrageous Locum Tenens hourly rates
I've been lurking around the EM forum for a while and I sometimes come across threads discussing $300/hr locum tenens contracts in unpopular areas such as rural Texas and parts of the Southeast (Louisiana, Mississippi, etc.) I'm just trying to wrap my head around how such rates are possible, and whether they're at all sustainable. Desperate for help
Hello everyone I am desperately in need of help..I graduated residency in 2015.working as locum tenens physician..Recently lost my job..I was foolish to not keep other position as back up..now I am left with no job..am looking for a full time job now..but the whole process is going to take min 3 months.and if I want to go to another state then additional time for new license will take another 2 to 3 months.
