Immune ‐related aseptic meningitis diagnosed by Cube FLAIR on enhanced magnetic resonance imaging for a lung cancer patient administered atezolizumab: A case report
We present a case of immune-related aseptic meningitis that occurred following atezolizumab (PD-L1 inhibitor) treatment. The immune-related aseptic meningitis was diagnosed using MRI with the Gadolinium (Gd)- enhanced Cube fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) sequence. AbstractImmune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) can cause immune-related adverse events (irAEs), such as neurological toxicity. A 46-year-old man was diagnosed with squamous cell lung cancer. Lung cancer recurred 3  years after he experienced left segmental lung rejection. Therefore, he received atezolizumab as fourth-line chemotherapy. He experienced f...

Pre and post ‐COVID 19 infection pulmonary functions in children with chronic respiratory disease: A case series
Data on post-COVID functional respiratory impairment in children are scarce. Children with chronic lung disease are not at increased risk for severe COVID. No or only transient functional respiratory impairment post-COVID is observed in these children. AbstractAs functional respiratory impairment following COVID-19 infection (COVID-19) is increasingly reported in adult, data regarding children especially with pre-existing chronic respiratory disease (PCRD) remain scarce. We retrospectively assessed clinical presentation, duration of symptoms related to COVID-19 from paediatric patients with PCRD and compared their pre/post...

Non ‐pulmonary CFTR‐related symptom improvement with ivacaftor in p.Phe508del/p.Arg117His (7T) cystic fibrosis
We describe a case of an 18-year-old man with p.F508del/p.Arg117His(7T) initially presenting with CRMS/CFSPID. He went on to be diagnosed with pancreatic sufficient CF with minimal lung disease. However, he has had significant CFTR-related symptoms with recurrent pancreatitis and chronic sinusitis. These non-pulmonary symptoms resolved following introduction of the CFTR modulator ivacaftor. Care for those with mild CF phenotypes, CRMS/CFSPID and those with CFTR-RD must be individualized, and open dialogue, education and patient centred care is necessary to ascertaining which patients might benefit from management in a mult...

Diagnosis of pulmonary leiomyosarcoma extending into the main bronchus using repeated transbronchial cryobiopsy
We report a case of pulmonary leiomyosarcoma, successfully diagnosed using repeated transbronchial cryobiopsy (TBCB). AbstractThe diagnosis of pulmonary leiomyosarcoma using bronchoscopy is difficult, and surgical resection is often performed for definitive diagnosis and curative therapy. We report a case of pulmonary leiomyosarcoma, successfully diagnosed using repeated transbronchial cryobiopsy (TBCB). A 69-year-old-woman was found to have an oval mass in the left hilar region extending into the left main bronchus on computed tomography (CT). All transbronchial biopsy specimens were necrotic, but repeated TBCB removed th...

Large lung mass lesion with spontaneous regression in a patient with IgG4 ‐related lung disease
IgG4-related lung disease (IgG4-RLD) may present with a variety of radiological findings, but large lung mass lesion are rare. Although steroid therapy is strongly recommended for IgG4-RLD with or without symptoms, respirologists should be aware that some patients may not need steroid therapy.
