Modeling the Effects of HIV and Aging on Resting-State Networks Using Machine Learning
Conclusion: Machine learning identified RSNs that classified individuals by HIV status and cognitive status. The PMN and SAL were sensitive for discriminating HIV status, with involvement of FPN occurring with cognitive impairment. Minor differences in RSN predictive strength were observed by age. Brief Report: Pharmacokinetics of Bictegravir and Tenofovir in Combination With Darunavir/Cobicistat in Treatment-Experienced Persons With HIV
Conclusion: Treatment-experienced persons with HIV receiving BIC/FTC/TAF + darunavir/cobicistat (DRV/c) had BIC exposures (AUC0-tau) that were increased by approximately 26% compared with historical PK data. Although TAF exposures were substantially increased, plasma TFV was only modestly higher. HIV Incidence Among Pregnant and Nonpregnant Women in the FACTS-001 Trial: Implications for HIV Prevention, Especially PrEP Use
Conclusions: Pregnancy incidence was high despite trial participation being contingent on contraceptive use. We found no evidence that rates of HIV acquisition were elevated in pregnancy when compared with those in nonpregnant women. Risks from reductions in condom use may be offset by reduced sexual activity. Nevertheless, high HIV incidence in both pregnant and nonpregnant women supports consideration of introducing antiretroviral-containing pre-exposure prophylaxis for pregnant and nonpregnant women in high HIV prevalence settings.
