Giant gastric ulcer caused by cytomegalovirus in immunocompetent adult
A 29-year-old man presented with a persistent fever, diarrhea, and loss of appetite lasting for a week. There was no history of prior illness, surgery, or blood transfusion. Physical examination revealed tenderness in the left lower abdomen. Blood tests showed mild liver damage, while a CT scan revealed thickening of the gastric (Fig.  1A) and colon walls, mild splenomegaly, and a small amount of ascites effusion. Upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies revealed ulcers in the gastric cardia (Fig. 1B), upper body (Fig. 1C), gastric antrum (Fig. 1D), ileocecal valve, rectum (Fig. 1E), and erosions in the duodenum, ...

Pancreatic metastasis from small bowel neuroendocrine tumor
A 60-year-old man, with a past medical history of obesity and diabetes, was admitted for obstructive jaundice. Preoperative CT-scan showed a 3  cm pancreatic head mass causing Wirsung and bile duct dilatation. Endoscopic ultrasonography found a 3 cm pancreatic mass; a biliary stent was placed and a biopsy was performed. Cytology found a moderately differentiated endocrine tumor. 68Ga-DOTATOC PET showed intense fixation of the pancreatic tumor, of multiple lymph nodes on the ileocolic pedicle and of a small tumor localized on the distal ileum (Fig. 1). Aggressive fibromatosis misdiagnosed as jejunal diverticulum inflammation
A 49-year-old woman incidentally presented with a 10-day abdominal pain and found a palpable mass in the left abdomen. Endoscopy revealed a diverticulum near the flexural ligament with a blood clot (Fig.  1A and B). Enhanced CT of the abdomen showed a thick-walled pouch-like soft tissue mass (size 4.9 cm × 4.4 cm × 5.8 cm) with inhomogeneous enhancement at the duodenal and jejunal migrations, and a linear enhancement shadow in the center (Fig. 1C and D). CT volume rendering (VR) technique revealed the location and contour of the lesion (Fig. 1E and Video 1). (Source: Digestive and Liver Disease)
