Reporting and representation of underserved groups in intervention studies for patients with multiple long-term conditions: a systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: For ethnicity, there was a lack of reporting, and ethnic minority groups were underrepresented in intervention studies. For SES, there was a high level of reporting but the proportion of study samples from across the spectrum of SES varied due to the variety of SES measures used. Findings highlight a need to improve the reporting and representation of ethnic minority groups and provide more detailed information for SES through using consistent measures (e.g. education, income and employment) to accurately determine the distribution of SES groups in intervention studies of people with MLTCs.PMID:38626808 | DOI:...

Association between precarious employment and the onset of depressive symptoms in men and women: a 13-year longitudinal analysis in Korea (2009-2022)
CONCLUSIONS: Employment insecurity, inadequate income and lack of rights and protection may contribute to depressive symptoms. Therefore, PE serves as a significant social determinant of mental health among workers in Korea. ConclusionsThis study sheds light on the challenges individuals face in dealing with socioeconomic insecurity, how it may affect their health, and their needs. Gaining perspective for improved socioeconomic security and having accessible professional support tailored to self-identified needs could have health-promoting effects for individuals living with socioeconomic insecurity. Social Deprivation Index Affects Time to MRI after knee injury in pediatric patients and is predicted by patient demographics
CONCLUSION: Increased SDI is independently associated with longer time from clinic visit to knee MRI order and longer time from clinic visit to knee MRI completion in our pediatric population.
