Does anyone have creative ways of memorizing pharmacology adverse effects?
How do you memorize all the adverse effects? Do you pick the 3 top ones for each drug? Do you ignore things like headache or nausea and only focus on the unique adverse effects? Do you group drugs that share the same adverse effects? Do you create associations with each drug that helps it stick for life? I do fine with memorizing everything for each exam but now that there are so many drugs...I forget all over again each time...how do I make them memorable for life so I don't feel... Georgetown SMP v. Tulane SMP (Pharmacology)
Hi, so some advice would really be appreciated. Right now I'm deciding between two SMPs, Georgetown and Tulane. At Georgetown I would be earning a M.S. in Physiology, at Tulane it would be a M.S. in Pharmacology. Both are one year programs. I am not applying this cycle, but next cycle, as I want all my master's grades to come in before I submit my application. I heard good things about both programs. Tulane's tuition is considerably cheaper, but from what I've heard Georgetown has the... Georgetown SMP v. Tulane SMP (Pharmacology) (Source: Student Doctor Network)

BCPM Class Issue
Hey everyone, So I've currently taken 6 credits of Pharmacology classes. I've enjoyed them a lot, but the reason I took them in the first place was to give my sGPA a boost. It wasn't until a couple weeks ago that I found the course classification guide and saw that Pharmacology is listed under health science and, thus, not BCPM. Any word on how strict these guidelines are? I guess I just thought that a course taught within the medical school building, by school of medicine faculty, and... Why Organic Chemistry is the Weed-Out Course for Premeds
by goliszek (Posted Mon Mar 28, 2016 5:46 am)Ask any premed student and most will tell you that organic chemistry, especially organic chemistry II, is the toughest course that they’ve taken in college. At some schools, professors take pride in making this the weed-out course for potential medical students; and I’ve personally known good students who’ve given up on medicine just because of organic chemistry. There are a few reasons for this. At one large university, where a thousand freshmen wanted to go into medicine, a professor actually said that he needed to weed out as many of the weak students as possible to...

21 YO cf patient looking to move
I currently live in the greater kansas city area and see the KU CF team regularly. I am looking at the possibility of moving to Phoenix Arizona. I have a roommate lined up if I do but other than that I would be alone with the nearest family over 2 hours away. I have more than just my CF to contend with as well as typical CF problems with infections and viral and bacterial pneumonia within the past year. MY past PFT was only about 55% average. At the moment I am being tested for TB because of some symptoms I have been having including small portions of blood in my mucus from the lungs. Other problems i have include the rare...

PG Medical Coaching
I joined DAMS in the October 2014 batch, with the hope that by joining early the course will be completed well in time before upcoming May exams. The batch was started on 19 th October 2014, with only 1.5 classes every week ( Saturday half day, and Sunday full day). By the end of December only four subjects were covered during which just 2-3 classes per week were taken. Then came January when the classes were increased to 3-4 per week. And now in march they are scheduling classes almost every day on the name of completing the syllabus and more importantly to free the space for new batches. They Say in their Booklets “Stud...
