Psych Nurse to PMHNP or Psychiatrist?
Is it worth it to pursue becoming a Psychiatrist instead of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner?
Some background… I’m in my mid 30’s wife with 2 kids (6&3). Navy veteran. Started out as an associate degree nurse and been working as a psych nurse for 2 years. Currently travel nursing and 9 classes away from obtaining bachelor in nursing.

Am I crazy?..... Need advice!
I am a non-traditional student on my journey to a reinvention of my undergraduate GPA. Lucky for me, I did not take any medical prereqs in college. I took Biology 1 after failing my freshman year and got a B. Chem 1, I had a B+ first attempt. I am following my undergraduate GPA using a spreadsheet to keep track and it's not good (2.6 from a Community college degree and four-year college). Child Neuro Salary
Hi everyone,
PGY4 peds neuro resident here.
Any insight on current salary trends for child neurologists ? I’m also applying for an epilepsy fellowship [hope to stay at my home institution for that but would like to relocate to Texas after fellowship].

Internship list - too competitive??
I‘m applying for internship this fall, and I’m starting to think I’m being too picky but because of my family (kids) I’m also geographically restricted. What's with everyone saying "kiddos" now?
At some point during my graduate school training (nearly finished with internship now), I started hearing the pediatric-focused students start saying "kiddos" instead of "child/children," "kids," "adolescents," etc. I don't know how, but it was like a switch was flipped and EVERYONE started doing it. I assumed it was maybe just my program, until I started hearing people at other schools, people at conferences, etc. doing this as well.
