Ways to MAX out loans in Dental School?
Hi All, Looking for some help here! I want to max out student loans as much as possible to make going to school less stressful for my growing family (currently at 2 kids). I know I can get $2500 / month living expenses and then $1250 per kid for child care per month... What would be really helpful is the additional reasons for more federal loans. Anyone have experience with getting additional federal loans to bridge the gap? I realize taking out more loans in school means I will owe more... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Am I just burnt out or am I just not meant for the medical field? ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED
I have always dreamt of becoming a doctor. In the Philippines, most kids rely on their parents for everything until they get their degree and marry off. Work is frowned upon (unless you are within poverty line), scholarships are scarce, and parents pay for school so no one really does loans/ get into student debt. Everyone is expected to go to college straight after HS. It’s common to take 18-26 credits a semester. So when I was in my last year of premed in the Philippines, while my... neuropsych psychometrician profit-share?
Hi All - I am about to start a small, part-time neuropsych / testing clinic. I will focus primarily on children and adolescents for learning disabilities and school accommodations, etc. There is someone I plan work with from the outset to help me administer the assessments and testing. They have experience in this area and they would also do much of the administrative work (e.g., communicate with patients and parents to do scheduling, etc.). I was thinking of doing profit sharing with them... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Career-changer vs. Academic Enhancer for nontraditional applicant
Hi All! I am a non-traditional applicant hoping to apply to medical school after a post-bacc. I feel I need to give a little background before I ask my question. I have a degree in biochemistry and completed all my premed prerequisites over 15 years ago. I did 7+ years of clinical research at a School of Medicine in various departments (cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology, family and preventive medicine). Then I went to nursing school (I had kids). I have been a nurse for almost 10... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Hemepath then Dermatopathology Fellowship Possible?
I’m at the end of my second year and want to do Dermpath; however, I have low expectations of getting accepted. Would applying for a Hemepath fellowship at an institution that has a Dermpath fellowship be an “in” so to speak? I like Hemepath. I want a good fellowship in terms of marketability if I lose steam after one fellowship. I have young children and am taking them into consideration as well. I would prefer not to do a general surg path fellowship. Advice is greatly appreciated (Source: Student Doctor Network)
