Young adult client reports father french kissing her as a young child, but client denies anything else happening. How serious is french kissing?
Client says she did not even think about or realize this experience was inappropriate until she was in college and mentioned it to a friend and then a therapist. Client also denies that the experience was traumatizing, not understanding it was abnormal. Despite claiming the memory is not traumatic to her, client appears uncomfortable and cannot look in my direction when discussing it, and also claims that the reason she barely ever sees her father is that she does not want to and... I moved to New Zealand AMA
A year ago I moved with my young family to New Zealand and started working in the public health system here. Our reasons were a mix of wanting an adventure, better work life balance, and a healthier environment for our child. There have been ups and downs but in general we have loved it, and plan to stay. I’ve seen posts of people asking about overseas options, so I’d be happy to provide my perspective to anyone interested. My department also has a few vacancies so…some shameless recruiting. Just need to vent
I am lucky to be working in an upscale neighborhood but the pay is not upscale. 30% of collections but they cover malpractice and 50% of health insurance. Everywhere has tip jars so I figured why the hell not and put a tip jar at the front desk for me and the medical assistant to split. It was collecting about $30-40 a day and then the boss found out. He started to take the jar and then only gave me 30% of it. I told him these are gifts and I have 3 kids to feed this is BS, these are... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Needing Objective Feedback/Recommendations
Hello! Long time lurker, first time posting. I will try to paint a full picture in a concise way in hopes that I can get some feedback. 😊 Childhood brief: Grew up in a dysfunctional home, DV, neglect, mother and sister suffer from mental disabilities. I fought, drank, in high school, lost creative writing scholarship. Fast forward, married at 18, attended intensive pastoral counseling, started popping out kids, cleaned up. Current situation: Happily married, I am now late thirties with a... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
